Bah! Stop wallowing in whatever it is ponies are supposed to wallow in, Trixie! You are the most fabulous entertainer and stage magician in Equestria! No Stallion or mare is your match for showponyship (Or ego).
I've never managed to feel any sort of sympathy for Trixie, she wasn't even run out of town for being a fraud, she left of her own accord and blatantly refused to learn a lesson or admit she'd been outclassed...
But I'm going D'AWWWWW twice b/c of the first comic.
Agreed. Although for me this extends to Luna also, because she is pretty much a non-character. Her personality is whatever the writer decides to give her, given that we don't know how she acts in a normal situation. She's kinda like a canon OC. Need a pony with a sad backstory but don't want to/can't make a/afraid to make an OC? Just use Luna.
I seriously hope that when they do re-introduce Luna into season 2, it's sooner rather than later. Imagine having to wait another 20 weeks after the frist episode of season 2. And I also hope they show happy Luna. We all want to see her happy. My favourite segment is the Applejack one, I love the way he drew Luna, great line of action.
I also seriously hope Trixie comes back. I love deeply flawed characters. I love this little comic.
What happened to Trixie is almost certainly cannon storyline.
Her ego had got a hold of her, and her perception of reality slipped away. Then twilight came and reality came smashing down upon her. Using reminats of her ego she left Ponyville.
Evenutally her ego dissapeared as she fully came to realization (or metaphorically, digested) what happened. What happened precisely from there on is unknown. Maybe depression, training, or absolute insanity.
The first comic was beautiful. Makes me wonder why it hasn't been done before (although there's plenty of stuff like that in the fanfic section, so that could explain)
@Anonymous Yeah, no, I'm sorry, Anonymous 3:51. I love Luna too, especially in socks, but she's totally Mary Sue in most fanon. Occasionally you'll find a story/comic where she isn't perfect except for deep emotional scars, but these are exceptions to the rule. She's shy and sweet and has a dark past, but everypony loves her despite everything. Textbook case of the Mary Sues. Again, not that I'm grouchy, just sayin'.
Trixie isn't coming back for season 2, but if she does return for season 3 then she's most likely going to be presented like most of us imagine her character to be.
Luna WILL be back for season two, and her portrayal most likely will destroy 99% of the fanon ideal for her character, even to the point of driving away some fans. It's okay, those are just the ones who can't understand that the show isn't made or broken, by or for, one pony only.

ReplyDeleteLuna, the renaissance pony. Cute.
ReplyDelete'Course, it doesn't take much skill to be a taste-tester or make-over subject...

I liked the first comic a lot, Luna should be happy. Liked the second one too, had deep meaning behind it.
ReplyDeleteWow, the Trixie comic really pulled at my heart strings. Beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteLuna's just faking being happy with Rarity.
ReplyDeleteHappy Luna is best Luna. The panel with Twilight is adorable

I like Luna happy.
ReplyDeleteEverybody loves Luna,
ReplyDeleteThe New Hit show on the Hub.
I Wonder what her general personality will be...
ReplyDelete@ LoLZorZs hard to say, she only has two lines in the entire series, the rest of her is fandom

ReplyDeleteHappy is Luna is best Luna!!!
ReplyDeleteAwr, poor sad Trixie needs a hug.
I Would of enjoyed that Trixie comic if it was done in the art style of the show or a better idea
ReplyDeleteAwww. Poor wittle Twixie isn't vewy stwong.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Looking at Luna's form when she kicks the apple tree... that mare doesn't need magic to mess you up!
ReplyDeleteLove the corset. Silly Rarity.
ReplyDeleteOh, so Luna is a total mary sue ?
ReplyDeleteNo thanks ... even if she does look cute in the comic and I like Luna.
But no mary sue luna.
Luna comic is full of <3 and D'awwwwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit confused on Trixie's comic... What is she trying to accomplish? Other then that I love the style they used...
So much dawww in the first one.
ReplyDeleteAww, the Happy Luna comic made me d'awwwwwwwww. I love seeing Luna happy. Look at how simply adorable she is when she's happy. <3
ReplyDeleteAnd awww, poor Trixie. Makes me kinda sad. Just keep working at it Trixie. :)
Happy Luna makes me happy. =)
ReplyDeleteTrixie drives me to have pity over her when she's miserable. -_-
@Dionysus
ReplyDeleteHow exactly is Luna a Mary Sue? She's co-ruler of Equestria, not Random Fan X's self-insert pony that appeared out of nowhere!
@Stargazer
ReplyDeleteShe was trying to "defeat" the giant rock the same way she "defeated" the pebble.
@Bugsydor Socks are just a plus in this case I would say. Trixie needs some lovin too people, just look at her awww
ReplyDeleteHappy Luna made me smile. She definitely needs more love in the second season along with Zecora.
ReplyDeleteSad Trixie made me frown. I don't like her, but seeing her miserable still makes me feel bad. If only a little.
Happy Luna is the best Luna.
ReplyDeleteAlthough Luna is the best pony for me, I really hope they don't mess her up in S2.

I HOPE she DOES NOT come back in season two.
Okay, y'know what?
ReplyDeleteI'd rather Trixie come back in season two. I just prefer her to Luna.
Problem? COME AT ME BRONIES.
Thank you very much for making me bipolar.
ReplyDeleteThe first comic was beautiful. Makes me wonder why it hasn't been done before (although there's plenty of stuff like that in the fanfic section, so that could explain)
ReplyDeleteSecond, awwwww :) that was nice.

@PonyPonyPonyBrony
ReplyDeleteOn the flipside, Celestia doesn't get NEARLY as much love...
The main difference between Luna and Trixie?
ReplyDeleteTrixie isn't coming back for season 2, but if she does return for season 3 then she's most likely going to be presented like most of us imagine her character to be.

Did anyone else notice the japanese writing at the end of the Trixie comic that said "owari"? What could that mean?
ReplyDeleteI just found out that it means "end". So I don't need any help.
ReplyDelete#1 no Luna, don't eat the cupcake!!
ReplyDelete#2 emo Trixie is badass
