Looks like those deals and negotiations are finally complete with Cartoon Network. The show will start appearing on non-US versions of the channel by the end of July.
I can only imagine how quickly this will spread it! Hope they have some cool commercials lined up.
Thanks to Curtaspian for the report, and the email screenshot!

Very nice! I hope my siblings will catch a glimpse and get hooked as well.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing if it goes well in UK then Cartoon Network will pick it up for CN Australia (also covers NZ)
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy I live in the US. So very happy.
ReplyDeleteI just hope EVERY incarnation of CN decides to pick it up... The Hub isn't free... T.T
ReplyDeleteI am slightly jealous though....I get cartoon network, but not the hub T_T Maybe one day...maybe 1 day...
ReplyDeleteinb4 the next post is another email from Sasha
ReplyDeleteGlad I could help!
ReplyDeleteAnd wow your fast!
Not fair, I don't have CN anymore and the hub doesn't exist here in Belgium either.
ReplyDelete@Purplefoxtail
ReplyDeleteNot gonna happen. The Hub needs to build a library of shows to compete against other channels...
In this case, it is essential that they hold on to their properties to have reasons for people to tune in to their channel
I hope US Cartoon Network gets it too
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until 2014 and ponies with Polish dubbing.
ReplyDeleteI think its smart for Hasbro to bring international attention for this awesome show.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how it would compete against CN's foreign shows, including Gumball...
Yes, the date has been narrowed down!! Can't wait to finally see FiM on my own TV!
ReplyDeletePLAU!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
living in the Netherlands here hope that CN will keep it original and no dubbing since well dutch dubbing is ....bad to say the least but still glad to see the pony crazy is spreading
ReplyDelete...when it says 'new season', it's still referring to season one.. right?
ReplyDeleteYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteplau!
ReplyDeleteI hope, Germany following soon :3
ReplyDelete*yay*
ReplyDelete...no wait... ...my dad might see it and make a connection between the show and my online avatars...
...NOOOOOOOO!!
FUCKING YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
ReplyDeleteHOPEFULLY WE'LL GET TOYS TOO
I don't get hub or CN. My life sucks
ReplyDelete*yay*
ReplyDeleteFuck yeh! Finally! If I can ever get the house to myself during summer, I'll be able to watch it on TV at last!
ReplyDeleteNo news for Mexico?
ReplyDeletePonies, on tv! Like it's a tv show!
ReplyDeleteI would like to point out in case of any confusion that this is season 1, we in the UK don't have any Pony yet!
ReplyDeleteCall me when its on the US Cartoon Network.
ReplyDeleteProbably won't happen soon, but I don't get the Hub, and ponies on CN would make it infinitely better than everything else I get on TV at the moment.
Can't wait for crappy spanish ponies
ReplyDeleteSO ANNOYING..
ReplyDeleteCause CN over here in the UK doesn't have a HD channel.
Dammit, ah well.. Least we're start getting the merchandise.
YAY
ReplyDeleteThe only question, is should I record the episodes? My parents already know I watch wrestling so them discovering my love for ponies could lead to "the talk."
ReplyDeleteEquestria takes over the world!!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see MLP on the television :DDDDDD
About time, I was told on a chat a few weeks ago that MLP:FiM was sold to CN International, and now it seems the info was valid :)
ReplyDeleteHip - hip Hurraaaaay !!!
Now all I'm worried about is, that they will surely dub it horribly here in Hungary :(
So I will still have to stick the internet and Youtube for my ponies.
Awesome ^_^ but youtube exists for the purpose of ponies. Why don't you watch it on that? Hasbro doesn't mind seeing as they stopped taking down the vids as they see it as "Free advertising"
ReplyDeleteNow if only Hub would move itself into the "standard" cable TV tiers so more people would have it!
ReplyDeletePeople can't afford huge mega cable packages anymore. It's amazing how many folks don't have Hub because it's considered a "tier" channel. Is this a cable company issue or a Hub issue? You'd expect a channel with ads to want to be seen by as many viewers as possible...
I hope it won't air in Finland. The localization of every. single. cartoon. in here is so awful. The worst of all is of course http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcINhIjAxUA . Not that they all would be even nearly that bad, but it always kills me a bit when I watch something dubbed after watching it in original voice acting.
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe they even dubbed the Simpsons Movie... Anyways, this is a good thing to any bronies in english speaking countries and where-ever there are tv networks that will show this with original VA.
Finally, something to get me watching Cartoon Network again!
ReplyDeleteNow to wait for the toys.
Wow great news! Just too bad I don't have CN... Thank Celestia for Youtube
ReplyDeleteI have to agree, I'm a UK Bronie and Youtube has been all the pony I really need. Still public veiwing can only improve veiwing figures in it's target audience.
ReplyDeleteCartoon Network is shit. I'd much rather have the Hub just make an incarnation of itself in other countries instead of selling out to other networks.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI know your pain bro. The Finnish language doesn't really lend itself to good cartoon dubs sadly IMO.
I'm a little uncertain about Cartoon Network getting their hands on this. Knowing them, they'll turn it into another one of their dry humor cartoons for teenagers like Regular Show or Adventure Time.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat really surprises me, I figured that Finland would take a hardcore 'no dubbing, subtitles only' type approach. Because of how Scandinavia's awesome.
Oh, awesome.
ReplyDeleteSo MLP:FiM finally starts airing on Cartoon Network, a channel that people actually have, except in my country.
=/
WHAT?! CARTOON NETWORK?!
ReplyDeletewhy can't US Cartoon Network be this cool?
Remember fans who will now be able to watch this on live TV, that you should!
ReplyDeleteDespite the lack of merchandise its a great indirect way to increase the value of the IP!
I wonder if they'll attempt to change the VA's.
ReplyDeleteinb4 MLP episodes on YouTube are get blocked in UK.
ReplyDeleteCartoon Network?
ReplyDeleteSo... maybe here in Mexico they're going to be aired on Cartoon Network too? :/ oh well... this is better than nothing...
Thnx for the information!
yay now if only I had cartoon network...
ReplyDeleteAs a card-carrying weaboo I'm kind of hoping for a Japanese dub. I'm sure such an american-looking cartoon wouldn't fly over there though. Not to mention the difficulty of trying to translate all of those horse puns.
ReplyDeleteFunny that this happens not 24 hours after a friend of mine says they should put it on adult swim.
ReplyDeleteI would laugh my ass off if they aired it on Adult Swim, but I doubt that will ever happen. Unless they aired it for a very brief period of time as a prank. That would be priceless.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteLike they did with The Room? Friendship day is coming up.
Celestia dammit, why can't the US version show it too (or at least some channel I actually get.)
ReplyDeleteYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhmygodddd <3
This made my day :D
I SAID SO!!! I SAID ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE!
The UK NEEDS MORE PONIES!!!! ^-^
US CN should NEVER touch this cartoon. Period
ReplyDeleteHELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!HELL NO!
ReplyDeleteThis amazing show will be horrible in portuguese (i'm brazilian)
i hope it will have really good Latin dub.
ReplyDeletei remember the day when american and japanese shows used to have amazing latin dubs :\
If the Hungarian CN will also receive ponies, then i am the happiest person alive!
ReplyDeleteBut one hugementally major, unfair problem...
The Rest home where i live has no CN...my Mom has it, but i can only be there in every 2nd weekend, then at the end of it, i'm going back immediately to my rest home T_T
I'm soooo hoping i can somehow catch it, though
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI guess you haven't seen this.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0vfZS9ynbc
Darnit. Stop giving me excuse to resub to CN international.
ReplyDeleteOh heck, this reason is as good as any.
Don't crew this up don't crew this up don't crew this up don't crew this up don't crew this up don't crew this up...
ReplyDeleteThey will, but here's to MLP FiM in Poland (eventually).
@cyfrostan I mean don't screw this up.
ReplyDeleteAh, so the deal was it would air on the non-USA Cartoon Network. I heard about the Cartoon Network deal earlier this year but couldn't find any press releases about it.
ReplyDeletebummer, because basic cable around here includes Cartoon Network but not The Hub :(
I really want to support the show financially but they don't make it easy
I know that quite a few of us would like to be able to see the show on basic cable but the Hub has shown its support for us through Equestria Girls so I hope they will always have the show and our support
ReplyDeleteAbout time us UK folks got some legitimate pony TV!
ReplyDeleteNow I just have to wrap my brain around the fact that I'll actually see children with the merch.
If it comes to Scandinavia, without a horrible dubbing, I'm going to be real excited.
ReplyDeleteIf not that's no big deal, as I'm able to watch it elsewhere, anyway.
It's also due to be released in Spain, Scandinavian Countries, and the Middle East this summer - MLP News December 2010
ReplyDeleteI look forward to actually watching my TV for a change :3
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Hasbro would still produce it.
@Jack Pipsam
ReplyDeleteNick seems to have dibs there.
Surprised it's not on a preschooler channel like in Canada.
ReplyDeleteHere in Latin America we have already a bunch of shows from The Hub on Disney Channel like the new Carebears, new Tranformers, new Poundpuppies and the new Strawberry Shortcake...so, when the hell are we gonna get FiM in Spanish!?
ReplyDeleteAiring the ponies on Adult Swim, say, over the summer would be a smart move (and a vast improvement over their current lineup).
ReplyDeleteif the non-us MLP episodes appear on Youtube, I'll watch them! ^^
ReplyDeleteAny word on it airing in the US? IT NEEDS TO!!!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the trailer for it, and immediately was like "LOOK!" towards my family. In fact, the only reason I am typing this is because I was trying to see when it would come on.
ReplyDeleteNow only if they can air it in other Hub-less countries or MLP FIM less countries
ReplyDeleteCN is testing the water for a possible reboot in.. *counts '2..3'* 2013 or 2014
