      You know, when I first saw that pic, I didn't think that Pony had one eye. I mean, look at all the other colts; you can only see one eye on them too!

      I just thought that Pony on the right had a weirdly shaped head. And was balding to boot.

      I saw the image... I couldn'T believe it.

      I opened an HD-1080p version of the episode... Just to be sure.

      I place it around the time... Rarity come... AAAAAAHHHH ! Oh the Pony-hell ! What's up with your face !!

      I had NEVER saw that before this day... and I watched the Episode over 10 times!

      Very interesting read. Sounds rather like Rarity to go accidentally insulting somepony like that. Come to think of it, that sounds like the plot for an episode.

      I'm happy this was written! Also, I dig the name "Silas Clops" - good use of pony-lingo plus pun.

      I enjoyed the fanfic too, except for the fact that Rarity sort of ended up shallow and stayed that way for the sake of Silas and Crystal. As she's my favorite pony, I felt a little sore. But I wouldn't mind reading more about Silas in the future. (Crystal Clear too!)

      Now has anyone written fanfic about that filly with the numbers on her neck from Suited for Success?

      For a short story that really showed some unexpected depth to me... mind you as cheesy as it sounds I have slight derp eyes as well as no sight in one eye so any Derpy fics etc or similar I always enjoy, easy to relate to? Keep up the good work :)

      Dammit, I was writing a story about this error too. Mine had the premise that Nightmare Moon changed him into this as she fled Ponyville in the first episode. As he hides from the rest of the pony population (as the canon series progresses) he get Zecora to mix him a potion that creates a normal pony illusion. Unfortunately the potion fails if he gets anxious...

      Hi, author here! I am not good at Blogger.

      @Hoshi - Rarity being shallow was more or less intentional. Even after Dog and Pony Show cured me of Rarity-hate, I still see her as being, in the words of Lurks-No-More, well-intentioned but oblivious. I know a lot of people like that, sadly.

      @DJ Kat - I'm not entirely certain why I went against that. At least it's still pronounce the same!

      @Anonymous - Do not let one story stop you from writing your idea! It sounds completely different from mine and I'd love to see where you go with it!

      I'm glad no one seems irritated by the presence of Crystal, because I know the reputation of OCs on this site. I didn't set out to make her, I swear, she just happened. Thank you all for reading!

      Fantastic story! Terribly short though, I'd really like to know what happened to those two ponies afterwards. And it didn't feel like Rarity was criticized too much for me, she was just...well being Rarity (and I do like her)

      Again, a good example of a fanfic, giving an anonymous b/g pony (and a flash hiccup at that) a name and a life.

      Only thing missing is the ending didn't resolve sufficiently. Is there any resolution between Dr Clops and Crystal? Has he realized she's crushed on him? And what is he going to do?

      As for Rarity coming across as shallow and staying that way, she often gives that first impression. I've heard that in several comments, how she "was a shallow bitch obsessed with her own appearance" until they saw "Suited for Success". Rarity is obsessive about her "glam" appearance, but she will pull back once she realizes she's actually hurting somebody.

      That said, Rarity can also be clueless. Remember "Sonic Rainboom"? Where she was so tripping on the adulation for her gossamer wings she didn't see the side effect on Dashie?

      I think that the video is possessed XD. I just went and looked for that scene. and paused it right at 1:34... and their eyes were blinking and all that o.o its really funny and creepy at the same time... best glitch ever in my opinion and prolly would never happen again lol im going to record it from the pc... initially recorded it from my phone... but its easier to capture everything on the 42" screen. will post the video as soon as i can or try to make a gif image out of it and post it that way. wow lol
      oh and Btw.... Loved the story. :) I actually wondered what happened to the pie family. know I knows lol

      She's told me that there have been papers written about her by ponyologists, who had previously thought such a thing impossible.
      -Were the papers written about Transparent Cutie-marks, or late-life blankness? Also, you are a writer after my own heart. One of my random OC ideas was a microbiologist whose cutie-marks were a single hair on each flank, with various micro-organisms on it, scaled up so that each picture might go anywhere from a quarter to halfway around the circumference of the hair.

      -And her I thought that Rarity only fainted when dramatically appropriate (IE she fakes it). I assume that she was glossing over the medical condition of the assistant. Sudden ending is sudden. I thought you were pairing him with Derpy for a bit. Also, I know that hair is better than bare skin, but I would have thought that Crystal would have been a client of Rarity's simply because I get the impression Rarity is the ONLY clothing maker in town, and Crystal would need clothing to avoid sunburn. Then again, maybe Celestia's sun doesn't burn, or at least UV screening spells are

      They studied her cutie mark. She thought she was a blank flank, it was just too hard to see. (The image up there, btw, makes it more visible than it actually is.)

      Not sure what you mean by "glossing over the medical condition". And I can't imagine she's the ONLY clothing maker in Ponyville. After some quick research though, she would have a problem with sunburn, especially thin areas like the tops of her ears. It's not an issue in this story, but I will use your comment to inform the sequel! Thank you very much! :D
