The image seems a tad bit suggestive...
ReplyDelete"Call of the Cutie" voice actor be damned, I read all of the Doctor's lines post-regeneration in Matt Smith's voice and it fit perfectly. You have a knack for writing both Ten (however short his appearance was) and Eleven, without completely resorting to the clichés (for example, "That's a cool name" instead of the oft-used "I'm a pony now. Ponies are cool."). Though it was nice to see some clichés, like "Doctor who?" "Just... the Doctor," and I have to wonder if somepony's going to say "It's bigger on the inside!" when the TARDIS is done repairing itself and they finally get to step inside, or if the Doctor will be disappointed. The title is an nice reference to The End of Time, what with the fic starting out on a "Bad Ending" of that special.
ReplyDeleteI haven't even quite finished this part, and I'm already ready to rate it. Five stars for you!
Wait, "two incarnations ago"? "Restarted the universe"? I spoke too soon... this is after "The Big Bang," isn't it? Somehow Eleven got sent back to "The End of Time" except the Master wasn't around, and because of that he couldn't stop Rassilon. I think.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this was too dang short... more! More! Must have awesome!
ReplyDeleteOh god, Colgate is the Rani.
ReplyDeleteI think. I actually have almost no knowledge of the series pre-Eccleston.
I will admit, this has me very interested; However, I question the ease in which both the doctor revealed some information about himself as well as the ease that rarity accepted it.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, I await the next part.
Here's hoping Colgate is Romana
ReplyDeleteOption #2, Colgate is a Time Lord of Gallopfree, this universes punified version.
ReplyDeleteGreat story so far, love it! Need more!
ReplyDeleteNot bad. There have certainly been worse Whooves fics. In any case, you've managed to entice me enough to want to read the next chapter, so that's a good sign.
ReplyDeleteRarity as the Doctor's companion? And Colgate as Ramona or another Time Lord?
ReplyDeleteMORE GODDAMMIT MORE!
I want know what happens next tell me! tell me! this is brilliant you really gotta continue this
ReplyDeleteAwesome story. Definitely in character all the way. Yes, it reads in matt smith's voice and it works very well.
ReplyDeleteNow then MOAR I SAY MOAR! Thanks in advance
That was frikkin awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like this.
ReplyDeleteI need to watch more Dr. Who. :/
That is so good. A was laughting really hard. It's great. This style... So~ 10nantish <3.! Please write what happened next D:. Please :<.
ReplyDeleteThis chapter was positively excellent. Eagerly awaiting more.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't as funny as the first part but I really like it... Even though I wish it wasn't the 11th Doctor personality ^^. Can't wait for the new part <3.
ReplyDeleteThis time, he read as more of a mix of 10 and 11... maybe it was all of the "Brilliant!" exclamations, which were a definite Tennantism. Poor Doctor, never can keep a hat... if it's not River, it's Rarity. XD
ReplyDeleteI foresee extreme jealousy when he sees Applejack's Stetson.
This certainly captures the feel of D.W. quite nicely - the whole "I'm planning complicated things - follow my insane instructions!" thing is the Doctor to a Tee.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, I like that the Ponies are fairly suspicious for the most part, and reluctant to trust a loony from the sky.
Also, "It's smaller on the outside"...I lol'd. :D
>Pony Doctor walking in on human Doctor with Time Lords
ReplyDeleteDOCTOR TROLLFACE IS TACTICAL GENIUS HUHEUEHEUE
Wow. The Doctor just can't get away with rocking a fez. Poor guy. Also, "smaller on the outside" triggered a good old-fashioned facepalm of win.
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor has just seriously messed with his own personal timeline, that's got to have consequences.
ReplyDeleteStill want to see what's next though : )
Haha, brilliant! I loved the "smaller on the outside"-line! More PLEASE!
ReplyDeleteNever seen any Doctor Who yet, but a friend recommended the story. Reads great from an outside universe point of view.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to finish it?!
ReplyDeleteIts GR8 plz finish it
ReplyDeleteFINISH THE STORY OR FACE INTERNET WRATH!
ReplyDeleteDoctor Whooves is the perfect blend of matt smith and david tennat's personalities and idiosyncrasies making the comedic banter between him and the ponies very entertaining. All the Characters are written perfectly too a T making for natural fluid dialogue. This honestly feels like an actual proper doctor who episode with pony twist. I am personally looking forward to the next chapter of the series. GET ON IT Maverick VOX
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor...? Ponies...? Rassilon...? Wha?..why...? Dammit, just take your 5 stars and be done with it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Year have passed...
