I hold myself in both high and low esteem for recognizing that 'y w r y w r y i u t r t y w q e' is the "Song of Time" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time…without even having to look at the keyboard in the picture to see what notes they were, let alone actually playing them.

ReplyDeleteI agree about the playability. If you're going to play a song, each note has to be one syllable for it to sound right. RD's is ok since the second syllable isn't as audible as the first. Pinkie's and Twi's just doesn't sound right since they have multiple syllables.
So far, Fluttershy's seems to be the best. Her's, Rarity's and AJ's use one syllable, but Fluttershy's holds the note longer which allows for half notes while AJ's doesn't and it doesn't sound as distorted as Rarity's.

ReplyDeleteEh, just set current lengths as the max length then. Everyone will just need to speed up songs to accommodate.
Or, you know, edit the samples until they don't sound like crap when extended. Just make benchmark lengths that are officially supported by the program; any other lengths may sound like crap due to a lack of editing
