YES. Not only is it ponies, but he actually knows how to write a speech. (Wish I could say the same for all those years I sat through my high school's commencement ceremony.) Congrats!
Why the hell didn't I think of this?! I had to speak at my graduation, and there was not a SINGLE mention of pony! Don't even start with that "20% cooler" crap, this was at least 200% cooler.
Damn. Major props to you, good sir, but DAMN. *goes to silently rage at himself*
Max Paradise here (the guy in the video). No, I wasn't valedictorian, but a few of us got to make speeches if we wanted to. It's really awesome to see all this love and support for a video I basically put up just to show my friends, thanks TONS.
It would be better if he said somesort of brony oath or something.....
I hereby pledge to honor and keep my promise to be A True Brony of the Earth and help others to become a Brony too.
I Will say it Loud and Proud that "I am A Brony and I am Proud of It"
I will not stray from my goal, even in face of Humiliation or great Trolling. Even at moments of weakness, I will be Determined to Love and Tolerate Rather Than Act Violently. I will keep my Brony Pride and Remember my Journey through the Five Stages of Bronydom.
From this point forward, I promise to keep my pledge and be the Brony I was meant to be...
This was incredibly cool. This is how you do it, folks. Be a boss. Own it. Love it! When you show your enthusiasm for the show, other people pick up on that and get excited about it, too! :D
This is good competition for the physics presentation. Both were completely unexpected, perfectly put together and presented, and most importantly, based on ponies. So the real question is, which is truly the better?
I think this qualifies as winning the internet! Seriously if If I ever graduate and had to give a speach I'm certain that I'd sound like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eY5OlMPNSE&feature=relmfu Congratulations my good brony!
@Max P. i think it is now certain that nopony or noone can ever challange your manliness cause your like 20% more manly than anyone for having the guts to do that awesome speech.
That was incredible! Seriously wishing that I never graduated when I did, so that I coulda had a chance to do something like this. Granted,I probably wouldn't have, but still. Anywho, while being a day late and a dollar short to this, please, my internets, take them all,and continue being the broniest brony this side of bronydom. You speech was that that pierced the heavens! I'm all out of jokes!
I'm beginning to see a disparity between the userbases of EqD and nearly every other fan board.
Every other place (except Ponychan) that has discussed this has met it with a resounding "WHAT THE FUCK, WHY?!?!" as well as "got ten seconds in, turned it off, I hate this fandom."
Whereas here and on Ponychan, it's nothing but praise and back-patting.
Honestly, I couldn't stand it. Let's try and keep it on the down-low, guys.

ReplyDeleteAn excellent speech
ReplyDeleteWhat a jackass.
ReplyDeleteDouchebag: noun. A person who thinks they look cool while simultaneously making everyone in his or her approximate area feel awkward and look bad.
ReplyDeleteThis is good competition for the physics presentation. Both were completely unexpected, perfectly put together and presented, and most importantly, based on ponies. So the real question is, which is truly the better?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteOne doesn't have to be better.
The community is based on friendship, acceptance, all that good stuff. No need for competition.
He made the fandom 20% cooler.
ReplyDeleteSO AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteVideo made me cringe big time, but huge props for doing something I would never have the balls to.
ReplyDeleteBigger balls than I could ever hope to have.
ReplyDeleteThis has Tripled the amount of 20% Cooler in Boldness with a graduation speech. Way to end the year! :D
