The Theme of the Day
Draw a pony playing a board game. Card games are also acceptable, as are tabletop RPGs. And of course, if you feel like getting a pony involved on the ground floor of a game and, say, draw some ponies on a giant chess board, then that'd be pretty darned awesome, don't you think? Your own imagination is the limit, so let loose and play!

ReplyDeleteAh rats, it seems it does get sent in as it was when I clicked "submit". I noticed that the flowers didn't have shadows like 2 seconds after that and fixed the source I had linked in my submission to include that. Oh well, if anyone cares the fixed version is on my DevArt account. Although I didn't have a clue how to make the boat's shadow convincing. ;_;
I made #60 (yay!), but it was apparently too small to read unless you click on it. But! It's there! And that is cool.

ReplyDeleteI'm 135 today. Lotsa other bladed Rarities I see today too! Nice X3 I had a lot of fun with mine, got the idea for a kimono and katana wielding Rarity and it just all came together nicely. I love it when that happens!

Hi, my attempt is #185 today. Great stuff as always. Interestingly enough I do have a bit of a visceral response when I see ponies with blades threatening each other, but when they wave them at my beloved Twilight Sparkle, just back off! :)

52) Oh HECK yeah. Can you believe I just finished Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the first time in my life without cheating like two weeks ago? I love that series! Just make sure you reach Rarity with the Golden Armor if you really wanna impress her.
123) Aw, c'mon. I was so bad at eyes (and am still not perfect at them) but I made sure to draw them every day, and have improved a lot. I do sometimes "cleverly avoid" having to draw them by having the pony with closed eyes or "happy eyes" though~

148) If Zoro were actually a unicorn, and could technically hold a near-infinite number of swords based on his magical prowess...
Anyway, I dig all the TMNT references, and I love how all the themes of this week seem to keep bleeding over into each other, like not only the characters but the rope thing today. Now, today's theme is super interesting -- I'm already thinking of a ton of different ways the context can be warped .3.

ReplyDeleteThis was my first pic done without any in–show poses to stencil off of, and also my first attempt at something other than profile viewpoints. Given that, I think it came out alright, except for Long Lyra being Long. Also she's the wrong color. But anyway.

Bronies who are frustrated with their scanners should consider vectoring their lines after scanning--it's a quick easy way to polish your work and you don't need a tablet to do it.
