ReplyDeleteAgain 3 songs that have barely anything to do with the series. Well of course first one didn't have anything to do with ponies, I could hear the Evil Enchantress from the second one and third just had ponypic so it seems to qualify as ponymusic. Although it was still pretty good.

ReplyDeleteI felt something tickling my chin after I finished listening to number 3. I looked down and noticed that I had suddenly grown a very full beard. Looking down past my beard, I saw a rather large flaming hole in the earth. The gods of metal had broken loose from their eldritch chains and were reaching across the bleak void between worlds to proclaim the awesomeness of this song. They were also sporting tattoos of Fluttershy's cutie mark. Apparently the gods of metal are big Fluttershy fans.
ReplyDelete...Yes, Odyssey (AKA Eurobeat Brony) is awesome, but that song is really not related to the poni in any way and unlike fanmade songs it doesn't even claim to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting the dude, his stuff's fantastic as always. Just saying, not pony.

ReplyDeleteIn other news, I liked Odyssy's I breathe Fire, it's very Euro-y lol. And I understand #2 might not stand out very well melody-wise because Wicked enchantress barely had a melody to it anyway, or supporting music for that matter. Pinkie DID say it was a work in progress lol.

You are not the only one coming up with music that has nothing in common with the original material yet is inspired by the series.
Take Not A Clever Pony for example. The best of work is like that.
Anyways, what think that might be in some people's mind is that some artists are probably trying to hop on the "actual fan train". You can come up with music and name it "AJ's Country Party" or something for the sake of popularity.
As for myself, I don't care.
Good stuff is good.
And so far this fandom hasn't let me down once so I'm likely to believe bronies and their good intentions more than anyone else on the internet.
Anyways.

...I am so pissed right now, I don't think I'm very good at hiding it. I never took losing anything with grace. I've never really lost anything I really wanted before. It's worse than getting rejected by the girl of your dreams almost! Knowing you're not good enough to be accepted and then rejected in a cold business like manner... /rant *feels relieved*
Sorry to hear that, Bagpipe. I know game teams are usually very precise about their choice of in-game music, so it may not have been them being cruel so much as them having things already taken care of.

Sorry to hear that, man! I think, to be honest, it was more of a stylistic choice on their end. They may not have thought that the musical style you have matched the mood/design they were going for. That being said, it's the life of an artist/musician. Part of that life involves taking no for an answer. You win some, you lose some.
