They are still seeking voice actors for a list of characters, as well as a few more flash artists.
There are a ton of pony games in progress right now, but few have come this far in terms of quality, and overall potential.
You can find the video after the break with more information, as well as a whole mess of links in the description on the actual page.

ReplyDeleteWait, is that a sea pony?
ReplyDeleteI really think this will be the best one out there. Especially when it gets done
ReplyDeleteSo many pony games I'm looking forward to.
ReplyDeletePortal Ponies?!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving those designs, especially the ram guy!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to take a shot and try to voice Rarity, but I think the mic on my laptop isn't that great :/ I probably wouldn't wind up doing that good anyway. I can't wait to see more, though :D
Judging by how much effort is being put into this game, I think I'll use Xpadder to play it with a controller - for the added effect.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until it is ready to be released, hopefully the music tracks are compiled as a 'soundtrack album' of sorts, too. The music we've heard so far is amazing!
There are three type of aquatic ponies.
ReplyDeleteSea Pony- fish body horse head.(basically a large sea horse, they live close to the surface of the ocean among the reefs)
Hippocamp/merpony- Forward half normal pony back half mermaid tail. (Also note the water wings for propulsion in the image above, they aren't very good at traversing inland but they tend to climb onto rocks to sunbathe every once in a while. Extra note that Hippocamps are sometimes confused for sirens and commonly live in deeper waters than sea ponies.)
Merpony type 2/ swamp, lake, river pony- They look entirely like an earth pony except with scales, neck gills and webbed hooves. (Amphibious ponies that are more likely to live in rivers and streams, can be seen in area's with larg bodies of fresh water or swampy terrain)
Time for me to fix my mic lol
ReplyDeleteSomeone make a full version of that portal song!
ReplyDeleteso many games that we're expecting ad these designs are awesome they make G1 villains look badass
ReplyDeleteGosh, I want to audition to VA so bad, but I'd probably be horrible at it. XD;
ReplyDeleteGuess it doesn't hurt to try, though.
Gah, I'm so excited for this game! I can't wait, it's going to be SO AWESOME.
I'm lookin forward to the voice samples in the next video. We already know their Pinkie Pie is awesome.
ReplyDeleteGoddamn you guys are taking this seriously. Are you sure you're not really an established game company in disguise?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteThat's about as close as it gets to the full version!
SQUEEE!!!!! Portal Ponies!!!!! Ahem... Uh... Can't wait... Yadda, yadda yadda... I guess I will check out that comic, the art looked interesting...
ReplyDeleteI love voice acting but I can't speak english without a finnish accent... Well I don't have a good mic anyways... And this is epic!
ReplyDeleteMan, I would so love to send in a voice!
ReplyDeleteToo bad my mike is a piece of crap and I don't have the money to get a new one before the deadline.... :(
Keratos... It means "horn", and it sounds perfect for the name of a ram.
ReplyDeletePlease tell me the goat is Krastos the Gluemaker. He almost looks like my vision of the gluemaker
ReplyDeleteI think the goat is supposed to be Grognar from "Return of Tambelon". But yeah, this is looking pretty kick-flank. Awesome reinterpretations of G1 villains for the win!
ReplyDeleteOman, so excited for all these games ;u;
ReplyDelete@Locke
ReplyDeleteThe Ram is Krastos the Gluemaker.
I don't actually know if he is or not, but don't you feel better knowing someone is looking out for your requests?
Holy crap it's Grogar. Wasn't expecting that. He going to have his evil city and everything?
ReplyDeleteAre the audition slots mentioned in the video the only ones open, or are there more?
ReplyDelete"mature female voices" I can guarantee you that the breadth of the submissions will be male. Nothing wrong with that though, I just hope they know that asking for females won't make a damn bit of difference on who applies.
ReplyDelete@Thattagen, You've seen nothing yet!
ReplyDelete@Locke, the ram is our rendition of the G1 villain Grogar.
@NovaCoru, you're welcome to submit other voices as well. If you check the voice acting information here, there is a complete list of the characters we need for Episode 1, as well as a guide for submitting: http://yamino.tumblr.com/post/6773278843/my-little-pony-flash-game-voice-casting-call

ReplyDeleteAudition List
>Action Hank
Oh yeah, this is gonna be an awesome game.
@FriendshipisMagic
ReplyDeletewhat a douchebag.
@NovaCoru
ReplyDeleteThere's tons! But not all will be featured in the first chapter. Here's a full cast list, which is also in the video description. derpyhooves.com/auditions
"I just hope they know that asking for females won't make a damn bit of difference on who applies."
ReplyDeleteActually, we've actually had an influx of female auditions since those announcements. Especially since we've expanded our promotion over to the Voice Acting Alliance forums. ;)
@David Larsen, Grogar, Tirek, The Witches,the Smooze, Arabus, Lavan, Squirk, and Crunch the Rock dog?! DUDE!!!! I think you might be missing a good one though... What about Catrina? (Katrina, whichever spelling you want to follow)
ReplyDeleteFirst Barimus the shadow eating cloud, now the Ram guy from the Tamballon and what looks like the lava demons from the Princess pony episodes.
ReplyDeleteWasn't expecting this many G1 villians to appear, things are looking to be epic.
And now that I look at it closely a sea/merpony unicorn? Thisis certainly going to be the game to watch out for.
If they make Katrina, I'll be a fan for life. She was my favorite pony villian (then it's the Witches, the Smooze and Crunch)
ReplyDeleteIf this game is finished and released, this will undoubtedly help current-gen fans of MLP appreciate the older generations more (not that we don't already, we ALL appreciate the older generations for the fact that they led to this generation's show getting the funding in order to be created). But, it'll definitely interest some of us enough to at least seek more information on the older generations
ReplyDeleteThat guy sounded like the Clear Eyes actor. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI love how they plugged Fighting is Magic at the end. Our fandom is awesome in that we're all so good-hearted when it comes to these sorts of things. :D
ReplyDeleteSHOO BEE DOO, SHOOP SHOOP BEE DOO
ReplyDeletewaitwat they have horns
Wow, that was unexpectedly good. I'm now completely hyped about, how many? ... a total of 4 different pony games, where other communities can barely manage to churn out a pair of crappy ones? I'm so excited, this summer is probably going to be my best one so far.
ReplyDeleteSo, apparently, this is considered fanfiction now.
ReplyDeleteI am not amused. Where's mah non-fanfiction tag?
@Tosxychor I know! I don't like fighting games, but with so many other games to enjoy...
ReplyDeleteHasbro is probably one of the coolest companies as far as fan-works, thus far. We'll see how it all goes when everything goes online, though.
Then again, what if some folks got paying jobs because of the stuff they've done for MLP fandom?
[Dash]Awesome![/Dash]
