A gift exchange program has been set up in honor of International Friendship Day on July 30th.
It's a pretty simple system. You buy something, and toss yourself into a huge pool of bronies where you will be randomly assigned a partner. Once pairs are chosen, addresses are exchanged and gifts are given out.
You can find all information on the page below!

Signed up. This should be fun.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder if they will be split into groups of countries. After all postage across the seas can be damned expensive.
ReplyDeletefriendship is totally magic
ReplyDeleteSounds fun, something new i will do for a change :P.
ReplyDeleteI found my random brony! ill do this with Jacen. Jacen, what do you think?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something if I got seth or somepony. XD

ReplyDeleteI'll take 6 lyra customs, modeled after the image above.
Thanks!
Gifts and a chance to meet a new friend? Heck sure!
ReplyDeleteI would, but there are no ponies in Australia other than G3's. And I wouldn't give those to my worst enemy.
ReplyDeletei would sign up, but shipping can get expensive if too far. can we split it up into countries, then from there region or something?
ReplyDeleteSigned up? I'm skeptical about this, butfor meeting someone else, heck yeah. Shipping is expensive...
ReplyDeleteI want to participate but I can only give digital art. No shipping to or from my house...
ReplyDeleteThis lands on my birthday, lol.
ReplyDeleteEveryone just give their gifts to me. >;P
I would do this, but I'm barely surviving and unemployed. And 15.
ReplyDeleteReally cool idea....
ReplyDelete...but the "share your address with a random person" part does not sit quite right with me.
@RoboshiIsn't it a bit, well, antiproductive to the whole International part if you stick to your own nation?
ReplyDeletesounds like a good idea to me, shipping shouldn't be too expensive as long as you keep the weight of the gift fairly light (sweets / nick nacks etc)
ReplyDeleteFrom previous pen pal experience postage was usually around £5-£10 to the U.S. from the U.K. but its been mentioned already that not everyone has the spare cash, so the region specific thing could work :)

ReplyDeletePonies aren't supposed to be sexy.
Ponies aren't supposed to be sexy.
Ponies aren't supposed to be sexy.
ARGH STOPIT NOW!!!
You dont have to buy something to participate. You can make something handmade or draw something.
ReplyDeleteAnd as long as the item isnt too heavy shipping isnt that bad. I mean I have been shipping pony pins all over the world and shipping hasnt been too bad.
I love this community so much!
ReplyDeleteI'd sign up... But I have no idea what I could send :(
ReplyDeleteEspecially if it has to be something pony-related.
Plus, I foresee trouble if the gifts end up being disproportionate in value, unless both sides are really good sports about it.
This really is the best community ever. Its things like this that make me publically display my bronydom with pride.
ReplyDeleteBest idea evar! I just hope the shipping costs won't be too great.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've got no idea what I could send.
i signed up. i hope it goes well.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to send some of my custom 3.5" buttons
