Not sure if I would like it better with the horn and tail. It'd still be frickin' awesome (seriously, the only way this could be cooler is if it were Luna), but I think I like this version quite well.
How can anyone disregard this just because it's not anatomically correct for a unicorn? making it any more unicorn-like by adding a tail and such would only make it look silly, and a horn would only get in the way of that awesome crown, or end up behind it sticking up at a weird angle. This could not have been done in better taste. IMHO
Hooves, tail and horns are necessary attributes for Celestia cosplay. I mean, look at her as you never seen pony show and ask yourself "What kind of cosplay is it?" For me it looks like weird haired Xmas angel costume and nothing more.
I think that a properly sized horn might make the outfit too tall to easily get through doorways with. I'm fully okay with her not having one. The hair and the dress make that outfit amazing.
When cosplaying something a human can't cosplay you only have one option: express the feeling and style of the character rather than try and fail to imitate exactly. The result is MUCH better than failing to be a pony or octopus or whatever.
This individual has my respect for a fantastic cosplay of Princess Celestia. She looks like her entrance would prompt a hush and a spontaneous bow from everypony in the room. Magnifique.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! How she interprets Celestia in character, pose and attire is very good! Even without pony Allicorn features, any brony can easily recognise she's Equestria's kind leader! [Let's skip that 'TYRANT CELESTIA' thing, shall we?]
Other than that, hopefully I get to see some MLP cosplayers at the convention at my place X3
@Anonymous Now now, man, aren't we all entitled to do whatever we want as long as we're not hurtin anyone seriously? Besides, you're checking out a pony website for fellow bronies. We're all, according to you, 'nerds', and it doesn't have to be bad to do things that we like just to have fun. Jeeze, man, lighten up :/

One of the nicer cosplays i've seen. Nice dress you've got there.
ReplyDelete....So. I believe a marriage proposal is in order.
ReplyDeleteThis is really well made.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like an angel. That hair is awesome.
ReplyDeleteWould be 20% more amazing with a horn.
WTF is this nerd shit
ReplyDeleteNo hooves and tail? Fail.
ReplyDeleteAll shall love her and despair.
ReplyDeleteShe's pretty cute in her get up. Horn is the biggest thing missing though but still came out nice IMO.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous Costume is not a furry suit? Win.
ReplyDeleteIt's time to bow to her feet. Oh wiat... wheres Luna?!
ReplyDelete>Wings
ReplyDelete>Ears
>Horn... no, wait, what?
Did she forget or something?
So close to perfection...

ReplyDeleteAwesome cosplay.
ReplyDeleteHonestly think a horn would look dumb, great outfit!
ReplyDeleteNeeds more bowing subjects. This is a friggin' awesome cosplay.
ReplyDeleteHot damn that is awesome. Reminds me I have to start work planing my full jumpsuit Wonderbolts cosplay
ReplyDeleteShe could lose the ears and still be amazing. Excellent cosplay.

ReplyDeleteVery impressive cosplay! Personally I think the costume looks great without the horn.

ReplyDeleteFOR THE NEW LUNAR REPUBLIC!
She said that she purposely left out the horn because it looked kind of wonky and blocked the crown.

Wow, that's how you make a cosplay outfit. Accurate where it counts and it doesn't go overboard.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'd make a comment about her raising more than the sun, but that's just tasteless. I now regret writing that...
I'd bow for that.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion... Just perfect. An awesome job.

ReplyDeleteThis, is doing it right.

ReplyDeleteVery regal.
ReplyDeleteShe seems to have preferred an enhanced crown with the implication of a horn, rather than actually including a horn.
Celestia why are you so godlike!
ReplyDeleteI still find Pony cosplays odd, but this is one of the better ones.
ReplyDeleteI need to start working on my cosplay...
ReplyDeleteCelestia is always naked, so come on.
ReplyDeleteI find this oddly attractive 0_0
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely the best MLP cosplay I've seen so far
That chick's hot.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the cosplay is surprisingly awesome. It's one of the few good pony cosplays I've seen.
she could have gone all "the last unicorn" and substitue the actual horn whit a delicate forehead decoration (cutie mark bindi?)
ReplyDeleteSo
ReplyDeletebeautiful.
Can I marry this woman?
IT'S BEAUTIFUL.....WOHOOOO :D ...i love it.. :D
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect. Bronies whining about lack of horn can GTFO.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best pony cosplay I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteDamn that's well done. (Horn Missing!! D: D: D:)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get a ton of pictures of what's to come from Otakon. Expecting many Pony-Players. :3
