Wow, she looks so much better in white! Imagine that.
Dee_Kary recently released this on her DA page. I wish I had the skills to pull stuff like this off.

Gorgeous
ReplyDeleteLong Live Celestia
If only Hasbro had you as the toy developer.
ReplyDeleteFU#%&ING FINALLY!!!
ReplyDeleteSaw this earlier on ponychan.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Hasbro...take a hint >8(
Now I can forget about my silly and stupid plan of using liquid paper on a pink Celestia. Whew!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! If only the official toys were this good, I'd be willing to shell out $20 a pony for them.
Take some notes Hasbro
ReplyDeleteThis is glorious.
ReplyDeleteDONE RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteSee now? Is it really that hard, Hasbro?
Should have thinned her paints and washed the crevices in pink to add a hint of depth and make her look a little closer to her show counterpart.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise, brilliant!

ReplyDeleteIt probably was actually...
Calling this a work of art would only make it sound worse than it looks. If Hasbro took the hint, though, we'd miss all these great artists.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to see Luna.
Pretty much what I've been contemplating if I buy the toy. It's just so annoying her not being the right color.
ReplyDeleteWhite Celestia is bestia. Nice custom.
ReplyDeletei kinda want one >.>
ReplyDeleteIts not pink!?
ReplyDeleteMIND=BLOWN
Not into toys, but that looks way better then the crap they're selling now. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteSad ponies who want an actual white celestia won't be able to get their hoofs on something this nice without making it themselves or getting lucky that somepony will make one for them. =/
ReplyDelete@she looks so much better in white
ReplyDeletethat's racist!
Once again an adverse person with basic art suplies does what the billion dollar toy company can not. You good lady are my hero. An amazing job.
ReplyDeletegoddamn¡¡¡ hasbro please pretty please make something like this¡¡¡¡
ReplyDeleteLong live the queen!
ReplyDeleteWow. Amazing. Custom artists to the rescue. This is quite the diference and improvement over the original.
ReplyDeleteSee Hasbro this is how it is done.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteoops that should say average not adverse
Now That's Celestia!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteYeah! As someone who comes from a proud family of pink-skinned people, I also find Sethisto's comment to be racist! Who does he think he is saying that albinos are better than pink-skins???
That's more like it man! Hasbro, take the damn hint.
ReplyDeleteRemember: It's not all Hasbro's fault. The toy stores that order toys to stock their shelves said "White? If you make it PINK, we'll order more figures for our store."
ReplyDeleteSHE'S PERFECT! :DDD
ReplyDeleteI would so buy that if Hasbro actually sold it... Correctly.
ReplyDeleteMy own pet theory is that someone thought kids would confuse Celestia with Rarity if both were white. Not sure where that leaves Pinkie Pie however.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteExacty, I think a lot of people are forgetting about that. Hasbro made a more accurate looking Celestia with her ARMOR as a prototype for the figurine gift pack!:

Another picture of the gift pack prototypes shows the characters with show accurate eyes and while AJ still doesn't have her hat, she has her freckles!:

Hasbro has the ability to make better toys. It's more than likely to be the buyers' fault for why we're not able to see this in the final products...I really don't understand why the stores wouldn't want the characters to look like themselves...
Whoa, that looks really awesome. I admire the patience and skill of those who can make such painting and modifications.
ReplyDeleteWay better than the pinkish-purple. Hasbro, stick to the original colors please.
ReplyDeleteIf they could make Rarity pure white why in all Ponyville can´t Hasbro do the same thing with Celestia, are they afraid that little girls might get it dirty?
ReplyDeleteNow she just has to put on that maid outfit... :3
ReplyDeleteFor anypony that failed to read the description n her DA submission for it, SHE'S OFFERING TO DO COMMISSIONS OF THESE BECAUSE SHE ENJOYED DOING THIS ONE SO MUCH.
ReplyDeleteSo you too can own your very own correct Celestia!
It should be noted that in the show, while Celestia may appear to be white on some screens, on a properly calibrated screen and with color-sampling tools it can be seen that she is in fact a very pale shade of pink (and it's not just scene lighting). So yeah, Hasbro had it right that she is pink, just that they got the shade way too over-saturated.
ReplyDeleteYeah it is a very pearlescent pink, but I don't think white is that wrong either. Still wonderfull work
