Apparently it was really popular! I think MLP just has that effect on things....
I've included the first one below the break, as well as the new second episode just in case they decide to ditch sonic and focus on ponies! Might as well treat it as an update post!
Episode 1 - Mockery in the Moon
Episode 2 - Elements of Parody
Episode 2.5 - Guess Who?

Very funny, Seth. We're not ditching Sonic, but we're definitely not ditching ponies either. :D
ReplyDeleteAs someone subbed to them long before they became Bronies, I can say this is very pleasing to me. But Seth, they obviously aren't going to "ditch sonic"; their channel is called SonicFSeries, for example.
ReplyDeleteWow. I never noticed that foreshadowing in the first episode! The makers of this show are awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteYES! I was hoping for a second episode.
ReplyDeleteI found these guys when I saw their first Camaraderie is Supernatural video, and I subscribed after being amused by their Sonic F series.
ReplyDeleteThis is the series I always referred to when I said that MLP The Mentally Abridged Series was "Amusing, but not as good as Camaraderie is Supernatural"
Glad to see it getting its own update page. ^^
This is actually very funny ... O_o
ReplyDeleteThis is the best abridge attempt of the entire pilot. What you guys did with the Pinkie song was genius and everything worked out perfectly. Best part is that most of the voices are just about spot on.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely the best Pony-related abridged series out there.
ReplyDeleteI really loved this parody, especially their interpretations of Pinkie Pie and Rarity. I really hope that the ending indicates that they plan to continue it.
ReplyDeletesonic and ponies what a horrible combination
ReplyDeleteNot bad, but that Giggle at the Griefers song pushed it over the top!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Giggle at the Griefers was by far the best part.
ReplyDeleteEh, the second video was okay. The Rarity segment fell very flat, but maybe it's just because I saw one of KroboProduction's videos (Friendship is Magnets?) do something very similar. Not accusing the writers of anything, just putting in my two bits. Still gonna vote 5 stars because while the second episode was meh in some parts, it was really good in others. Also, the first episode is still a gold mine.
ReplyDeleteYeah, not to brag, but I'm totally the one that discovered the nightmare moon in the hourglass. You can see it was me in the youtube comments if you bother to look. (Ok, it is bragging, but I'm really proud of this because I'm usually completely oblivious.) I watched sonic x and my little pony independently, and I've watched sonic f since back when they were the sonic paradox team making sonic shorts. I love all of it, and am looking forward to more to come. Cannot overstate the talent of Celest, RC, Wax, SSF, sonicEPICmaster, and all the other people with nonsensical, difficult to remember screen names. Also they're doing a live stream of sonic games here if anyone's interested.

If this is suppose to be bad then yeah 10/10
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie is the greatest. Breaking the fourth wall was genius.
ReplyDeleteI love the Pinkie Pie VA, and that Twilight's friends got her away from that creepy My Little Human fandom!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why, but the second episode didn't appeal to me as much as the first. Still was brilliant, but didn't beat the first. Again, not sure why...
ReplyDeleteThat RPG part...
ReplyDeleteI hope that becomes real.
Hadn't seen part 2 til this post.
ReplyDeleteThe "Elements of Parody" bit was actually -really- clever. I was rather pleased. Wasn't too impressed with the Pinkie-actor's singing though- the lyrics were ok, but she missed the beat of the song quite a bit.
Can't wait for more though!
I love how I recognized every single sound effect in there.
ReplyDeleteIs it funny because it's not funny or am I just missing the, uh, humor?
ReplyDeleteWhy was I not subscribed already? Bad, Wierd, Bad!
ReplyDelete"Giggle at the Griefers" made my fucking night.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was definitely Pinkie Pie taking a wrecking ball to the 4th wall.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth wall will never recover from the whooping Pinkie is dishing out.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeletethe hourglass thing happens in the actual series too.
What is this and why is it so awesome!?!?!?! (That was rhetorical question!)
ReplyDeleteBest use of the Luna song evar.
ReplyDeleteThat was epic
ReplyDeleteThose were really well done. Loved the RPG battle sequence and all the Sonic sound effects used for Dash.
ReplyDeleteYES YES YES YES YES YES YES HELL YES- Everything that is wrong with that other MLP dub can be summed up in these two things- BUILD ON WHAT COMES BEFORE, don't turn the parody series into something full of bitterness and psycho characters. oh, this was so good. Really heartbreaking to see so many people dislike it.
ReplyDeleteHmm, I like where this series is going.
ReplyDelete#1
ReplyDeleteYou are correct...
It IS impossible to insult Fluttershy...
I was hoping that the Pinkie song would change to Giggle at the Goatse, but that's because I'm weird. Heck, that was what I thought she actually sang in the original before hearing it enough to see it was Goastie.
ReplyDeleteThe mood this puts me in.
ReplyDeleteSurely it is made of win.
/Zecora
OH TROLLESTIA YES! This was amazing. That's it. There's nothing else to say...
ReplyDeleteexcept I'll take that pony rpg from you and give you all my money for it. Also, I squeed when they made an entire parody out of Giggle At the Ghosty. This is how you make a parody people, take notes. Or you can just watch this one and wait on baited breath for the next one.
As a side note, when Twilight was battling Nightmare Moon, I was actually expecting One Winged Angel in the background.

Night-Mare-Moon!
Oh come on, there's no way Celestia uses a tanning salon. I mean look at her
ReplyDeleteThis is rather uncanny, I'm starting to discover things on the interwebs some hour before ED posts most of them. But whatever XD
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, these parodies are gold. Giggle at the griefers? Pure awesome.
Damn, this is fantastic work. So much effort put into this, and it all came out so well put together. I'll admit it's kinda low-budget comedy, but it's well done low-budget comedy (if that makes any sense).
ReplyDeleteLove the Luna (Dream/Nightmare) at the beginning of 2
ReplyDeleteI loled
YOU DID ANOTHER ONE!
ReplyDeleteXD
XD
YAY!
I fell down laughing at Giggle at the Griefers, but I also loved the alternate Elem--er, I mean Principles of Parody. "The sixth element is mine -- and that's Faithfulness to the Source Material!" XD
ReplyDeleteglad the people who got me addicted kept going with this.
ReplyDeleteIts a good MLP Abridged but Friendship is Witchcraft is better. A lot funnier and with more parodying rather than mostly a fandub.
ReplyDeleteI'm conflicted on whether or not this tops Satanic Fluttershy.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to Sonic I'm sceptical, but these guys did a good job, even though I'm not up for all the jokes included in it. The elements-of-parody-segement was epic.
ReplyDeleteThe lyrics to to "Giggle at the Griefers" were great, but the singer cannot emulate Pinkie in tune or in rhythm. :T
ReplyDeletePretty funny stuff, though.
Sonic + FiM = DO WANT
ReplyDeleteAlthough this is good, I still prefer Friendship is Witchcraft
ReplyDeleteThe first one was already awesome, but I actually liked the second one even more. Friendship is Witchcraft is also a good parody, but I prefer this one.
ReplyDeleteI love the pokemon battle in the second video. It was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI loved it. The "Giga Parody Breaker" made me love it even more.
ReplyDeleteBEST FREAKING PARODY EVER
ReplyDeleteThough needs more Fluttershy and Rarity [but that can be done in the other episodes]
But do keep up the good work ^^
The Gurren Lagann bit and Pinkie's revamped song were utterly awesome. The best MLP parody by far!
ReplyDeleteOut of all of the Abridged Series, this is the one that most certainly stays closest to the actual series. Also, I might add that they are very good at parodying the show.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I wasn't rolling over laughing the entire time. Maybe that's good, Idk. But I still think that this Abridged Series (Like all of them) have much to learn. While this series is great at parodying, I believe that it needs to add more funny. Once that is achieved then this will be absolutely perfect. Hopefully all the MLP Abridged Series (5? maybe more) can eventually be funny and parody the show at the same time.
THIS FOREST WAS WAY BETTER BEFORE YOU SHOWED UP
ReplyDeleteLol i love the mario and zelda music at the end of 2
ReplyDeleteoh and gee why hasn't the cursor bar dissapeared yet? so many comments!

@Evil
ReplyDeleteIs it really necessary to post that link hundreds of times? You've already posted it in several topics as well of dozens of times in the "Link Removed" post. You're just making it harder for Seth to run the blog with no complications. :O
@Dublio
ReplyDeleteeeyup it is necessary FOR GREAT JUSTICE(OH THE IRONY)
Ragglefraggle.
ReplyDelete@Dublio
ReplyDeleteI LIKE THAT SONG :D
Yay it has awakened!
ReplyDeleteOh, you guys are going to keep going back and forth for days, aren't you? lol
ReplyDeleteYay, Dr. Whoof. The voice of Pinkie sounds kinda like some of the vocies for Derpy we've heard.
@Octavia we already are doing that on another post. It just passed 2000 comments

ReplyDelete@EVIL wow, somebody sure is dedicated to something pointless
ReplyDeleteOh great, looks like we're back to the old days of pointless spam that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
ReplyDeleteIf only there was an anti-idiot account creation measure...
Yeah this is the best parody series.
ReplyDeleteIve been following them since they began there sonic F series, and remember when Sonic Paradox only did there sonic shorts and stuff on new grounds... Cool to see that they are now keeping the ponies and OMG DR WHOOF!
ReplyDeletewant... SO MUCH!
Ah yes, I know a guy that's involved in these. Not personally, but he's a friend on deviantArt.
ReplyDeleteOH GOD DOCTOR WHOOVES IS THE NARRATOR
ReplyDeleteY'know, 2.5 was completely validated by the end. Best thing I've seen today.
ReplyDeleteMy god man. :o
ReplyDeleteWas that really a new episode? It's like a clip show passed off as a new episode.
ReplyDeleteI'm disspapointed because I thought the Elements of Parody concept was brilliantly done in the previous episode.
Crack in space-time? I know where this is going.... yay!
ReplyDeleteSeth, please tell me that you have a banhammer, or an orbital lunar cannon
ReplyDeleteIt was on that day that Jelfes gave not one fuck about EVIL's comments.
ReplyDelete^It was on that day that trolling was ignored
ReplyDeleteOh, right. I forgot that they have a comment banhammer. I've only seen it been used once before......
ReplyDelete@EVIL Adios, amigo
ReplyDelete@EVIL
ReplyDeleteDude, what the hell man?! Your mindless spam took more than half of the page!
As for the abridges. I loved it so much. But I still can't get over the concept of Doctor Whooves and Pinkie Pie. I've gotten use to Derpy and Doctor Whooves.
@DuskFly he's a wannabe troll who has nothing better to do than to spam a post about My Little Pony. What did you expect?
ReplyDeleteBtw, the blogponies have this covered now
BROHOOF time
ReplyDeleteThis is just sad......lol.......
ReplyDeleteJust giggle at the trollsies and ignore him.
ReplyDelete@Flutterfan
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't a new episode, since its a collective post, Seth's typing from his last post of this topic hasn't changed. Also it says 2.5 for a reason, and the end of the video says that the series will continue. So no, it's not the new episode.
And even then its still better than friendship is witchcraft
I am under the impression that this team is going to claim Derpy is Pinky in an elaborate disguise to avoid time paradoxes with herself. Yay Derpy Has Lines~
ReplyDelete@Erroneous
ReplyDeleteOh ok, thanks for clearing that up. Although not cool of you to take a shot at Friendship is Witchcraft like that.
IDK, I really liked Friendship is Witchcraft. It's definitely lower quality but I think the full thing was more fun.
ReplyDeleteThis. This...This I like. It's got good voice acting, good writing, sticks with the story, and it's damned funny. This is a good series, I shall follow it.
ReplyDeleteEVIL, YOU BAST****!!! YOU FORCED THEM TO CHANGE THE COMMENT SYSTEM!!!!
ReplyDeleteVictory isn't yours. You are having all of your comments removed. In fact, it actually comes in handy for spellchecking
ReplyDeleteOh God, best Giggle at the Ghosties version EVER. -:D
ReplyDeleteI was on the CiS bandwagon the first time EqD posted the series.
ReplyDeleteAlso, DOCTOR!!! XD
Doctor Whooves! Yeah.
ReplyDeleteI liked the first 2, and I liked the pseudo-ep.
Why do my comments keep getting removed? I was commenting about the actual video!
ReplyDeleteIt's been almost an hour... where is the latest update?
ReplyDeleteO____O
ReplyDeleteI for one welcome our new pony overlords
The latest delays have been brought to you by
ReplyDeleteTHE TROLLS
I love Parodys, and this one punches me in the face and takes the cake.
Well, that won. On every level of win. Why is this fandom made of so much win?
ReplyDeleteDo I really have to say anything to convince you? Go watch it, NOW!
ReplyDeleteThx Equestria Daily for showing me this! I'm totally subscribing to him!
ReplyDeleteThe second I realised what the background music was, I saw where 2.5 was going. :D
ReplyDeleteThis oughta be good...
My personal favorite part was the Banjo-Kazooie music at Sweet Apple Acres.
ReplyDeleteThree guesses why.
This is one of the best parody series of MLP I've seen yet! It remains remarkably true to the source material while still throwing some fun surprises at you.
ReplyDeleteAnd...they're doing a Doctor Whoof storyline? OH. MY. GOD. This is going to be AWESOME.
GONNA BE SO AWESOME
ReplyDeleteConfound these ponies, they make me want to watch Doctor Who.
ReplyDeletedang it they stole my idea for a doctor whoof story (though in mine i would of caused "cupcakes" to never exist).
ReplyDeleteOh man, this was awesome. I loved the battle with the manticore, and the Giggle at the Griefers SO needs an MP3 download! I was XD all the way through! And Twilight's speech about parodies pretty much sums it, with the thanks of the Gurren Lagann soundtrack!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I love Pinkie's voice actor.
only watched episode 1 yet, I loved how Pinkie is actually even MORE Pinkie here =D
ReplyDeleteAlso "I can't make fun of Fluttershy. I just can't. She's TOO DAMN CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!"
