ugh, I can't stand Clinton at all. Still, as conservative as I am, he was a better president than Bush or Obama. At least we had economic stability back then.
Anyway, I think the cynical adult is the true enemy of MLP.
OY! Doesn't look from the comments that any of you guys heard about this, so I'll point it out here: After Bill Clinton came on, a brony and a former intern of theirs came on to talk about and defend the show. I'll look up the link.
Honestly, I was a bit dissappointed. I was hoping to discover that Clinton was a closet Brony, but really they just asked him easy questions. Although I was sorta playing along and almost missed the first one. Rarity doesn't eat paste! who knew?
So much win. I laughed long and loud. Krastos and Chester need to be canon. Looking forward to some art of Fluttershy the Inventive and Rarity eating paste. Also the "right to mate" thing makes me have ideas about possible pony societies outside of Equestria...
I'm sure this goes without saying, but you'd be able to answer the questions easily without any extensive prior knowledge of the show. Even if I weren't a brony, I'm pretty sure I would be able to tell that eating paste wasn't one of the main character's calling in life.
Augh, I can't find a specific link, but go to the main WWDTM page (http://www.npr.org/programs/wait-wait-dont-tell-me/), click "listen to the full show", and scroll down until you find "Interview with a 'Bronie'" (sic)
"Bill Clinton Plays Not My Job" - direct link and transcript: http://www.npr.org/2011/06/25/137386121/bill-clinton-plays-not-my-job "Interview with a 'Brony'" - direct link and transcript: http://www.npr.org/2011/06/25/137406751/interview-with-a-bronie
I think this definitely makes up for Wait-Wait's Bluff the Listener from last week. Also: all my money to the Brony who makes Rarity's my even tinier ponies toys.
After hearing the options on the cutie mark question, I thought; let's abandon cutie marks and start with check marks. When a pony finds out what her talent is, she gets a check mark and has earned the right to mate. The CMC(now MRC) would be very... interesting, this way.
Heh, very funny segment! Even though the questions were soft balls just having Clinton answering questions about MLP:FiM is hilarious. I also foresee pictures of paste eating Rarity and inventive Fluttershy.
@GhostWolf As the poster above said, thank you for those links. Kudos to NPR for giving one of ours a chance to state our side of it. I agree it was short, but that's okay. As others have said, the best way to gain more fans is just tossing it out there and letting them stumble upon how awesome the show is on their own.
Oh, and a +1 somepony writing a fanfic with Krastos the Glue Maker in a showdown with Fluttershy the Inventive.
I lawl'd at "Krastos the Glue Maker". I would have enjoyed it better, though, if one of the questions went much more specific and/or included tough choices.
Either way, watching as a former president answer questions about ponies was very entertaining.
So I'm the brony/intern who came on this week's show. They edited me down a fair bit, but if I remember correctly (I was pretty nervous while being interviewed), most of what they cut probably needed to be cut. I said a little more about how bronies are attracted to the simplicity and the non-cynicism of the show (which is more or less what I meant by "authentic"), not nostalgia or some kind of weird perversion. I also commented on the fact that it's okay to like Transformers even though every critic in America hates the movies but ponies are still uncool.
They actually made me sound pretty good, to be honest. Not as good as it could be, but certainly better than Fox's hatchet-job.
I may be able to post an mp3 of the entire segment, so you can hear all of what I said, but I'll need to get permission first. Stay tuned.
I lol'd that entire time. That was actually pretty hilarious. Someone fanart Rarity eating paste, Fluttershy the Inventive, Krastos the Glue Maker, and Chester the cynical adult.
It was indeed a little cut short, but still it's brave you remained strong during the interview. I'd like to hear the uncut interview, in case you do get permission just send it to Seth and I'm sure he'll put it up ^^
This was absolutely hysterical! For those of you who think they're trying to bash MLP, I don't think they are. I went in not taking this seriously, and I was laughing my flank off.
For some reason, I visualize Fluttershy the Inventive as being a fusion of the characters Fluttershy and Mereador from MARDEK; wearing Complex optical headgear and a brown trenchcoat/labcoat, while constructing a Treant-like golem.
I have a hunch that Krastos the Glue Maker is in league with Trollestia, and when a pony does wrong by Trollestia, she banishes them to Krastos' workshop.
Considering that, I'd say Luna got off easy, lest she be part of the CMC's next adventure in cobbled together background sets.
XD I'm tempted to make some fanart of rarity eating paste. Also, "the right to mate" XD that got me. Wonder if bill clinton will become a brony after this? A brony president... I approve of this.
From now on if anyone says something about some other President being the best president, I will say "Silly! That's not how you spell/say Bill Clinton!"
You seem to have been forgotten. But really it was a good interview. They should have left in the transformers bit. And for more drama you should have brought up yo gabba gabba. People watch it and no one gives a care but you watch my little pony? Oh SHUN YOU.
I was just a little filly when Clinton was president, even littler than ya'll. I can only cognitively remember his final year in office, though I've been told he was one of our greatest leaders.
I guess when you reach the top, you've got nowhere to go but down... Too bad it all had to landslide in 2000. (Speaking of the Presidential Seat, not Clinton himself)
Umm... has anyone else noticed this yet? I just realized after thinking about the glue-themed villain, but a Paste-eating rarity would be kind of akin to a cannibalism reference, in a way (not just to a foolish thing kids do).
I can't find that comment on Faust's DA page. Where did you see it? I'd love to hear more of her reaction to the segment. (And to me, of course. I am pretty vain.)
If you look at the comments on her DA page, it's a reply to Exclusive-Cheese's comment. It's currently on the page, but for how much longer I don't know.
Wait, so can we get an employed person to be interviewed on our behalf? Or was he employed and just joking? Either way though he handled himself very well.
Those questions were gimmes, even for non-fans. Seriously, here's how I'd have done it for the first one.
A. Give make overs. B. Sell antiques. C. Make beautiful artwork.
Now try and pick it out if you're not a brony.
For the second one...
A. Their 'Cutie Mark', a symbol that appears on their flank. B. To graduate school to pursue their calling in life. C. A party, because ponies love to party.
And finally
A. Leave the same that was hillarious. B. Nightmare Moon, who wanted to make it night forever. C. An evil dragon named Fang who demanded all their gems and jewelry, and didn't like parties.
Just remember to make Krastos either a Dragon, or a Pony. Anything else would degrade to earlier generations of suck really fast, and not fit in with the show.
Looks like the guys who came up with the questions have seen only the first episode, judging by "giving makeovers" and Mightmare Moon as a current villain (she isn't a villain anymore, right?)
Here's the questions I would've asked. I came up with these in just 10 minutes flat.
1) Animators like to put sight gags that are a little off-color in the background, figuring no one would notice. You can't really get away with that in the Internet age, though. So one such sight gag was caught by the fandom and became a big internet meme. Was it:
a.) A pony whose eyes were all googly and pointing in different directions because she had too much to drink?
b.) A pony who ate some bad food and so threw up all over the floor for the whole length of a scene, with no one else somehow noticing?
c.) Two fillies, girl ponies, kissing on the lips in the middle of a crowd scene?
-------------------------------
2.) Sometimes a fanfiction, a fiction written by fans, can catch the imagination of the fandom, though not necessarily because it's good. One such fanfiction inspired the catch phrase "going cupcakes". Was it:
a.) A sad themed fanfiction about a pony who eats tons of cupcakes and cookies and other sweets at a time and then vomits it all out, and the fanfic ends with the pony going into therapy for binging and purging?
b.) A gory themed fanfiction where a pony turns into a deranged serial killer who murders her friends and makes them into cupcakes?
c.) A spiritual themed fanfiction where sweets like cupcakes and candy and cute things like bunnies and squirrels are important icons in the Pony Religion?
----------------------------------
3.) In a rare move for a corporation, Hasbro acknowledge the adult fandom through what marketing ploy?
a.) A parody of a Katy Perry song which includes the lyrics, "Bronies hang out here because they know we're awesome fillies."?
b.) A PG-13 rated pin-up calender where the ponies from the show are drawn in "saucy poses"?
c.) A rated T for teen Mortal Kombat type video game where you play as your favorite pony and beat all the ponies bloody?
There's a brony in NPR somewhere... there HAS to be. Same gag, same show, TWICE in a short time (but not the same episode). And about "gag inducing" ponies, of all things.
notice how he said OUR ponies? NPR stands for "New Pony Radio" as of now rendering the mixtape i created specifically for super ponybeat yesterday almost useless and no offense Mr. President but anyone could answer those blatantly obvious questions after smoking a hundred doobies So it was PASTE in Rarity's sandwitches in "She's a Horse"!
Hey, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me has had fictitious characters as guests before (Elmo comes to mind). Why not get everypony's favorite reality-bending, fourth-wall-breaking party girl on the show sometime? :D
PETER: So, Pinkie Pie, you're about to be playing a game called "Not My Job", in which we ask the contestant questions about things they know nothing about. Now you are a character from the TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" and Ponyville's resident party girl, so--
PINKIE: OOOH! So THAT means that you're going to ask me questions about former President Bill Clinton!
@Tacoworld501 Well then let me see whats left *brings out paper*
1. Amass huge internet following [X] 2. Get politician on our side [X] 3. Use politician to infiltrate U.S. government [X] 4. Stage bloody coup and appoint Princess Celestia as president and Rainbow Dash as General [In Progress] 5. Weaponize friendship [In Progress] 6. Use friendship-based weapon to love and tolerate all enemy countries into surrender [In Progress]
I remember when I first heard that on the radio. I thought the questions and choices were absolutely absurd, and hilarious. Now, looking back, I think it's funny how simple they are. :)

Skip to 6:15 to here the questions about ponies,
ReplyDeleteFirst?
ReplyDeleteThe interview wasn't as bad as I thought. :)
Ok...this guy is a brony too. Shocking.
ReplyDeleteBest president.
ReplyDeleteWe got a brony with political connections now.
ReplyDeleteWorld domination, 1 step closer.
You know, I'd rather not listen to this, I think... What do they say?
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they went so easy on him, "Not My Job" segments are usually pretty challenging. Though, maybe the questions just seemed easy to me...
ReplyDeleteLater that evening, Bill Clinton looked up more information about the show he was questioned on earlier that day...
ReplyDelete@Number Six
ReplyDeleteThe link has the transcript. You can read it.
Bill Clinton: The Brony President.
ReplyDelete@Number Six
ReplyDeleteThey say nothing about bronies, only the show.
@Number Six: There was a transcript of the entire interview, I read it instead since I didn't want to turn off my music
ReplyDeleteAlso, Krastos the Glue Maker needs to be cannon.
ReplyDeleteKrastos the Glue Maker, someone write a fic, now.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteRARITY EATS PASTE
Countdown to artwork of Rarity eating paste and Fluttershy the Inventive in 3..2..1..
ReplyDeletebill clinton has to get back into office somehow
ReplyDelete>NPR has discussed My Little Pony with Former President Bill Clinton himself!
ReplyDeletePonies are making my Internet weirder every day.
so much crack fanart material to be had from this
ReplyDeleteTIME TO GET TO WORK.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be considered canibalism?
Most of those questions seemed really easy. The only one he seemed to have a chance of getting wrong was the Cutie Mark one.
ReplyDeleteWasn't this posted in a nightly wrap-up?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some Krastos the Glue Maker x Nightmare Moon shipping!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the weirdest things I have ever listened to. MLP + political figures FTW.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should send Ponies to Syria/Lybia/Egypt/etc. - all that political strife would clear up in a jiffy. And then...A PARTY!
Soon ponies will take over every single president on the globe xD
ReplyDeleteI find the right to mate and Krastos the Glue Maker part amusing.
ReplyDeleteChester and Crastos will be season 2 villains.
ReplyDeleteThey stayed away from the fandom and just questioned about the show. 7/10 for not slandering us, instead just poking fun at a girls cartoon.
ReplyDeleteThat being said. the rarity comment - SOME OF MY RAGE (not all of it, thanks god)
ugh, I can't stand Clinton at all. Still, as conservative as I am, he was a better president than Bush or Obama. At least we had economic stability back then.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I think the cynical adult is the true enemy of MLP.
Those questions reeked of the multiple choice tests I had in high school:
ReplyDeleteWhich scientist did x?
A.) Nixon
B.) Einstein
C.) George Dubya
D.) Bacon
OY! Doesn't look from the comments that any of you guys heard about this, so I'll point it out here: After Bill Clinton came on, a brony and a former intern of theirs came on to talk about and defend the show. I'll look up the link.
ReplyDeleteI now have more respect for Bill Clinton.
ReplyDeleteWell, that was awesome.
ReplyDeleteNow we just need to see Obama wearing a Rainbow Dash t-shirt and that will make my life.
Apparently Rarity's talent is giving makeovers. And here I was, thinking she was a designer / entrepreneur.
ReplyDeleteShame the answers were so humorously obvious... Nice job tho
ReplyDeleteKrastos the Glue maker
ReplyDelete>"If he isn't, he should be!"
It seems like the only one that wasn't obvious was the special talent one, and he still had a 50-50 chance of guessing that one.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, this was too funny. Ponies should totally get titles.
ReplyDeleteThe last question with Krastos and Chester had me laughing way too hard.
ReplyDelete"I did not have sex with that mare."
ReplyDelete3 for 3. Brohoof, Mr. President!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else get increasingly annoyed by the laugh track being played whenever the host mentioned anything pony related?
how awsome would it be if they messed with him and said the answer was c for all of them.
ReplyDeletep.s. Chester FTW
fear the almighty Krastos the glue maker¡¡¡¡¡
ReplyDeleteand his sidekick Fluttershy the inventive
oh my god rarity a you eating paste???
The last question was way too obvious. Anyone could answer that without having seen the show.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI'd very much like a link to that.
So last week, they heard about the series and mocked the fans, and now they read into it more and decided it'd be fun to quiz someone about it...
ReplyDeleteClearly, someone who works on the show is well on their way to full-fledged bronydom!
Honestly, I was a bit dissappointed. I was hoping to discover that Clinton was a closet Brony, but really they just asked him easy questions. Although I was sorta playing along and almost missed the first one. Rarity doesn't eat paste! who knew?
ReplyDeleteLOL, hilarious interview. Which will hopefully cause many people (Clinton included) to "go look it up", with forseeable results. ^^
ReplyDeleteThis was great. They made it really easy for him, but still great.
ReplyDeleteSo much win. I laughed long and loud. Krastos and Chester need to be canon. Looking forward to some art of Fluttershy the Inventive and Rarity eating paste. Also the "right to mate" thing makes me have ideas about possible pony societies outside of Equestria...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt's not a laugh-track, they tape the show in front of an audience.
NPR will soon stand for National Pony Radio, hahaha
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this goes without saying, but you'd be able to answer the questions easily without any extensive prior knowledge of the show. Even if I weren't a brony, I'm pretty sure I would be able to tell that eating paste wasn't one of the main character's calling in life.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteAugh, I can't find a specific link, but go to the main WWDTM page (http://www.npr.org/programs/wait-wait-dont-tell-me/), click "listen to the full show", and scroll down until you find "Interview with a 'Bronie'" (sic)
That's our man.
Here are the links for the show:

As a whole, it was a very positive bit of PR.
I think this definitely makes up for Wait-Wait's Bluff the Listener from last week.
ReplyDeleteAlso: all my money to the Brony who makes Rarity's my even tinier ponies toys.
After hearing the options on the cutie mark question, I thought; let's abandon cutie marks and start with check marks. When a pony finds out what her talent is, she gets a check mark and has earned the right to mate. The CMC(now MRC) would be very... interesting, this way.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links!
ReplyDeleteBut it appeared to be a little short, I wish he had the time to tell them more :<
@Lucresthey were definitly easier than normal, probably felt bad about giving hi ponies, took it easy.
ReplyDeleteGAH! this rocks so MUCH!
Heh, very funny segment! Even though the questions were soft balls just having Clinton answering questions about MLP:FiM is hilarious. I also foresee pictures of paste eating Rarity and inventive Fluttershy.
ReplyDelete"I did not have sex with Rainbow Dash."
ReplyDelete@GhostWolf
ReplyDeleteAs the poster above said, thank you for those links. Kudos to NPR for giving one of ours a chance to state our side of it. I agree it was short, but that's okay. Oh, and a +1 somepony writing a fanfic with Krastos the Glue Maker in a showdown with Fluttershy the Inventive.
"the cynical grownup, Chester"
ReplyDeleteWHAT
aaahhhhaaahaahaaa that was awesomely funny. I laughed for the whole 6 minutes the skit was on.
ReplyDeletedid we just bronify npr AND ex-president clinton? :D
someboy, please do a clinton pony with a saxophone on his flank.
I hereby forgive NPR for last week's edition. That was just so amazingly full of win! LET THERE BE PONIES!!!
ReplyDelete@Pride
ReplyDeleteSeriously, WHAT? I HAVE a god damn grown-up called Chester in my story! HORYSHET!
Krastos the Glue Maker
ReplyDeletedoitdoitdoitdoit
This was pretty funny and awesome. GO CLINTON!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, fanart of Rarity eating paste, Krastos the glue maker, Fluttershy the Inventive, and other things will soon follow. Let the making begin!
Somebody tell Pride his fic got referenced on NPR
ReplyDeleteOkay:
ReplyDeleteRarity needs to make tinier ponies.
Krastos the glue master will be the main season 2 villain.
And Cutie Marks give you the right to mate. And thats actually why the CMC want them...
BUT.
They misspelled brony (They spelled it: Bronie)
I don't know I didn't like the interview much for some reason.
Chester needs to be canon!
ReplyDelete"Let me just say I was an English major and I worked for you guys, so I kind of had the deck stacked against me anyway in the job market."
ReplyDeleteYou go, Ted Anderson! :D
Oh my goodness this was hysterical.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds nothing like the NPR I know. Where is the British woman talking about the situation in somethingistan?
ReplyDeleteWoah guys, just because he answered those questions doesn't mean he's a brony. I mean, come on, the answers were really fucking obvious.
ReplyDeleteIt was still pretty funny though.
We need Clinton back in office.
ReplyDelete"Yeah, but don't blame it on the ponies"
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm stealing that.
@Lucres
ReplyDeleteIn the transcript, it reads "Cue laugh-track" or something along those lines.
'Ya done good, NPR.
ReplyDelete'Ya done good.
I lawl'd at "Krastos the Glue Maker". I would have enjoyed it better, though, if one of the questions went much more specific and/or included tough choices.
ReplyDeleteEither way, watching as a former president answer questions about ponies was very entertaining.
Clinton: I did not have sex with that flying unicorn.
ReplyDeletePinkie Pie: And that's how Equestria was made.
hes secretly a brony, dont let him fool you
ReplyDeleteMy head hurts now.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteHe didn't really say much.
"it's authentic" - what does that even mean? oh well.
@Lia
ReplyDeleteLucres is correct. There is no laugh track. Today's broadcast was taped before a live audience at the Chase Bank Auditorium in downtown Chicago.
The transcript reads: "(Soundbite of laughter)"
Not a brony, the questions were just really obvious.
ReplyDeleteBut it would be pretty surprising if he was.
@BagOfChips
ReplyDeleteThat the show lacks any sort of cynical satire that might bludgeon its limitless happiness. It has no tragedy under its surface.
Somebody draw a Picture of Trollestia as Hillary
ReplyDeleteSo I'm the brony/intern who came on this week's show.
ReplyDeleteThey actually made me sound pretty good, to be honest.
ReplyDeleteGreat day today! We hit 2 mll in KYM and now Clinton and NPR are in pre-brony phase. XD
ReplyDeleteClinton Won. He knows everything. He is a brony. Now lets throw a party.
ReplyDelete@Ted
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed a little cut short, but still it's brave you remained strong during the interview.
I'd like to hear the uncut interview, in case you do get permission just send it to Seth and I'm sure he'll put it up ^^
A. blahlbahWrongAnswer
ReplyDelete(laugh)
B. Right Answer
and
C. AnotherWrongAnswer
(laugh)
So, easiest quiz ever...
This was absolutely hysterical! For those of you who think they're trying to bash MLP, I don't think they are. I went in not taking this seriously, and I was laughing my flank off.
ReplyDeleteThe youngest ever to be elected Governor of Arkansas, twice elected President of the United States of America, winner of a My Little Pony Quiz.
ReplyDeleteTruly, Clinton is a man of the ages. I demand ponified Clinton art as tribute to this moment.
Well that was WAY BETTER than I thought it was going to be.
ReplyDeleteGood ol' Bill Clinton. Always doin right by everyone. And now ponies too!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome XDDD
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteYes but saying it's authentic doesn't mean much to the average viewer.
I mean overall I'm very happy about this, it just seemed like a very vague way to describe the show.
I think we should hold Bill Clinton a party! Or a bunch of spammy mails in his inbox.
ReplyDeletehahaha that is EPIC!!!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I visualize Fluttershy the Inventive as being a fusion of the characters Fluttershy and Mereador from MARDEK; wearing Complex optical headgear and a brown trenchcoat/labcoat, while constructing a Treant-like golem.
ReplyDeleteAll I could think of when I heard they were interviewing Bill Cliton was this:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qydCXMNutzI&t=2m6s
I always put Clinton in my list of top 10 presidents.
ReplyDeleteNow he might just be in the top 5.
I concur with Mr. Clinton, Krastos the Glue Makes should be main villain in season 2
ReplyDeleteDoes Rarity tolerate Krastos' existence as long as he supplies her with paste to eat?
ReplyDeleteThey should ask Obama next! XD
ReplyDeleteKrastos the Glue Maker/Chester shipfic.
ReplyDeleteI WILL HOLD MY BREATH UNTIL THIS HAPPENS.
Here comes the Paste-eating Rarity and Krastos the Glue Maker shipfics. *Waits for them*
ReplyDeleteI have a hunch that Krastos the Glue Maker is in league with Trollestia, and when a pony does wrong by Trollestia, she banishes them to Krastos' workshop.
ReplyDeleteConsidering that, I'd say Luna got off easy, lest she be part of the CMC's next adventure in cobbled together background sets.
XD I'm tempted to make some fanart of rarity eating paste. Also, "the right to mate" XD that got me. Wonder if bill clinton will become a brony after this? A brony president... I approve of this.
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard, I actually loved it, how refreshing after all the smearing we had recently :)
ReplyDelete"the right to mate" bwhahahaha, still laughing xD
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteFrom now on if anyone says something about some other President being the best president, I will say "Silly! That's not how you spell/say Bill Clinton!"
I have to fanart Celestia paying a 'Visit' to NPR and having Tirek as the 'Muscle'.
ReplyDeleteThough not canon, would make for a fun comic.
BIll Clinton continues to be my favorite living President
ReplyDelete@Ted
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have been forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI guess when you reach the top, you've got nowhere to go but down... Too bad it all had to landslide in 2000. (Speaking of the Presidential Seat, not Clinton himself)
Bill Clinton just found a way to make himself even more awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteThus proving, once again, that Bill was the Best President.
ReplyDeleteI bet Luna is his favorite pony.
@Ted
ReplyDeleteI would've liked it if you touched briefly on the mature dialogue and deep characters, but still a very good job.
Not gonna lie, this had me laughing for a while~ xD
ReplyDeleteKrastos the Glue Maker, and Rarity eating paste?
ReplyDeleteNow someone's going to write "Cupcakes: The Second Batch"!
Welcome to the Herd, Mr. President...
ReplyDelete@KidNeo
ReplyDeleteOr at least 20% cooler...in 10 seconds flat...
From Faust's deviantART page:
ReplyDelete"If I were still in charge, I would soooooo fight to have Krastos the Glue Maker a real villain! Oh well."
So yeah, this segment is legendary.
You know how he knew all those answers?
ReplyDeleteBill Clinton is totally a closeted brony.
we have found a secret brony!
ReplyDeleteUmm... has anyone else noticed this yet? I just realized after thinking about the glue-themed villain, but a Paste-eating rarity would be kind of akin to a cannibalism reference, in a way (not just to a foolish thing kids do).
ReplyDeleteThat creeped me out a bit when it hit me.
@thepokemonhero
ReplyDeleteI can't find that comment on Faust's DA page. Where did you see it? I'd love to hear more of her reaction to the segment. (And to me, of course. I am pretty vain.)
@Ted

ReplyDeleteClinton is awesome, except for the time that he cheat his wife with that blowjob.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the guys who came up with the questions have seen only the first episode, judging by "giving makeovers" and Mightmare Moon as a current villain (she isn't a villain anymore, right?)

a.) A sad themed fanfiction about a pony who eats tons of cupcakes and cookies and other sweets at a time and then vomits it all out, and the fanfic ends with the pony going into therapy for binging and purging?
b.) A gory themed fanfiction where a pony turns into a deranged serial killer who murders her friends and makes them into cupcakes?
c.) A spiritual themed fanfiction where sweets like cupcakes and candy and cute things like bunnies and squirrels are important icons in the Pony Religion?

3.) In a rare move for a corporation, Hasbro acknowledge the adult fandom through what marketing ploy?
a.) A parody of a Katy Perry song which includes the lyrics, "Bronies hang out here because they know we're awesome fillies."?
b.) A PG-13 rated pin-up calender where the ponies from the show are drawn in "saucy poses"?
c.) A rated T for teen Mortal Kombat type video game where you play as your favorite pony and beat all the ponies bloody?
Oh Celestia, that was bloody awesome!

ReplyDeleteHer talent is bejeweling the shit out of fabric.
There should be an actual pony quiz on ED that only bronies can answer.
ReplyDeleteThere's a brony in NPR somewhere... there HAS to be. Same gag, same show, TWICE in a short time (but not the same episode). And about "gag inducing" ponies, of all things.
ReplyDeleteIt CAN'T be a coincidence, can it?

ReplyDeleteNPR stands for "New Pony Radio" as of now
rendering the mixtape i created specifically for super ponybeat yesterday almost useless

So it was PASTE in Rarity's sandwitches in "She's a Horse"!

ReplyDeletewe may just have a secret brony that is a former president
Peter Sagal is TOTALLY a closet Brony. XD
ReplyDeleteHey, Wait Wait Don't Tell Me has had fictitious characters as guests before (Elmo comes to mind).
*wait for laughter*

1. Amass huge internet following [X]
2. Get politician on our side [X]
3. Use politician to infiltrate U.S. government [X]
4. Stage bloody coup and appoint Princess Celestia as president and Rainbow Dash as General [In Progress]
5. Weaponize friendship [In Progress]
6. Use friendship-based weapon to love and tolerate all enemy countries into surrender [In Progress]
Almost there.
I remember when I first heard that on the radio. I thought the questions and choices were absolutely absurd, and hilarious. Now, looking back, I think it's funny how simple they are. :)
