That's it. Combined with that extended Equestria Girls cut, this just proves the world did indeed end on May 21st and we're all in a more detailed Equestria. I could not be more okay with this you have no idea. I wonder if Rarity goes for, uh, humans.
Anyway, do you guys remember that Sonic Rainboom I blogged about about a month ago? There were more sightings of the atmospheric phenomenon that creates this effect, as sent in by Pockies. His pictures are much better than mine was! You can find them here.

That's amazing.
VastaKustutaIt even makes more sense respect the show. Dash, being a pegasus pony, can control the weather. The Sonic Rainboom is nothing but this atmospheric effect combined with the powers of awesome.
QSA: I wonder how it occurs... Maybe because the viewer is directly in the center of the circle a rainbow makes?
VastaKustutaSo, how many bronies are going to go blind staring at the sun now?
VastaKustutaIT'S A DOUBLE SONIC RAINBOOM ALL THE WAY
VastaKustutayeah another real-life Sonic RainboomXD
VastaKustutaIt lookes awesome
@Cereal
I'm more interested if Rainbow Dash goes for humans;-)
Wonderful.
VastaKustutaNow I can start a revolution to put Luna into power once and for all.
Don't mind me, I'm mad.
I, for one, welcome our new pony overlords.
VastaKustutaSo.... which way is canterlot.
VastaKustutaI must find and worship Princess Luna <3
I saw a thread on /x/ about that rainbow phenomenon some days ago, must have saved pictures

VastaKustutaWARNING SCIENCE AHEAD: The effect is actually called a Sundog, and is the result of a near horizon Sun's light reflecting off ice crystals in the Earth's atmosphere. It isn't just the full circle of a rainbow, like you can see from planes, but in fact the opposite as the red band is closest to the sun and the violent one is furthest away.
Also Magic.

VastaKustutaNASA's proof that sonic rainbooms exist.
@Cereal I'm more curious if Celestia would turn us into ponies.
VastaKustutaAnything is possible and nothing is impossible. If nothing were possible then nothing there would be.
VastaKustutaIt is possible that it is impossible for science to tell us everything.
Thus magic was had.
In any case anything you think will become a reality to another whether or not your aware of it. We're at eight million Twilight's and climbing, the pageviews are going for nine.
We are all indane and have only ponies in our heads, but its ok i know that problem i have it too :D
VastaKustutaWait, what does this mean? Is this about Season 2 or something? I'm confused to be honest...
VastaKustutaIf only it was sunny here. Weather's been crazy, really. Sometime is sunny and hot, others we have sun and rain, or crazy thunderstorm all day long. :(
VastaKustutaCheck these out:

Warning: links include science, along with some impressive photos.
There are a lot more Bronies in San Antonio than I figured there would be.
VastaKustutaomg i saw that rainbow to cool^^
VastaKustutaHey Cereal, let's you and I step out back right quick. There's something I wanna talk to you about...
VastaKustutaThe sky is now 20% cooler.
VastaKustutaFrom Equestria Girls:
VastaKustuta"One you party with ponies,
You'll be seeing rainbooms!
Oh oooOooOh~"
You've been partying with ponies, haven't you Cereal?
I kid, I kid.
We have transcended our mortal coils and become one with the ponies.
VastaKustutaNow, if only I could get a job...
So, uh. Where can I find Fluttershy? I need to hug her. <3
VastaKustutaTo the best of my knowledge, these events are very crisp circumzenithal arcs and parhelic circles:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parhelic_circle
I wouldn't be surprised if the World Ended because of Sonic Rainbooms. ;P
VastaKustutaI kind of wish that this would be the prelude to select bronies being thrown into Equestria, sort of like "Stuck" but on a larger scale.
VastaKustuta@DissonantNight
VastaKustutaNo, this isn't a sundog. As I said last time, a sundog is the bright spot that occurs when a 22/46 degree halo crosses a parhelic circle. Sometimes you only see the sundogs because the halo and circle are too dim on their own.
What these are are is a common 22 degree halo and what looks to be a rare 46 degree halo. The outer band might be a supralateral arc if the image is actually on its side[1].
We know neither can be a circumzenithal arc because both are centered on the sun and the sun would be on the convex side of a circumzenithal arc. We also know that they cannot be parhelic circles because the parhelic circle crosses through the sun.
[1] Question for photographer: Was the outer structure a circular ring or parabolic?
