Remember that amazing physics presentation from a while back? Well the rest of the internet is catching up! Or copying each other at least. Two Four websites have jumped on it so far, you can find both below! The comments are, as always, hilarious.
Now go defend our equine buddies from their anti-pony hatred!
A guy from /sci/ posted on one of the 4chan pony threads a couple days ago saying he's working on a pony version of Einstein's paper on special relativity. XD
Err... in the butterfly bit he stated a volume (in^3) when he meant an area (in^2). I can understand the odd mix up with units for something complex (e.g. deriving an eddy viscosity from stress, shear and density) but not for soemthing so basic. Thus, the presenter has amanged a just as bad physics fail as the show...
It's good to see this amazing video spreading around the Internet! Hopefully this will cause a "brony" boom for the fandom. Maybe that will do a reality check for Hasbro... There sitting on a gold mine!
Whoa whoa WHOA! I looked at the comment, and someone linked to this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Little_Pony:_Friendship_is_Magic_cult_following WHO THE HELL THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA FOR A WIKI ARTICLE? Seriously guys, that's a bit too much ...
The weird thing is that the comments on the Escapist are mostly not "stop watching ponies, you sick freaks" and more along the lines of "Physics/logic ruins ponies and happiness". I just have to say, the latter attitude makes poor Twilight sad.

Physics is magic... And now gathering more and more to the Bronyhood
ReplyDeleteIt had like 2,000 views last I checked... damn son.
ReplyDeleteMy gosh, I cannot wait until my speech class during the fall lets me give a speech about anything (assuming that is one of the assignments).
ReplyDeleteIt was also posted in Comics Alliance.
ReplyDeleteIt's on College Humor too.

ReplyDeleteUgh, nothing against you but I hate that site for being a haven for people stealing others work.
Wait, that's Stephen Magnet? From Ponychan?

Bronies are becoming the new trekkies. Just sayin'

ReplyDeleteYou forgot comics alliance.
ANYWAY
This is my favorite pony video by far. No better way to get more people into pony then by using force.
We need "Applejack is made of Dark Matter" macros.
ReplyDeleteFunnyJunk too
ReplyDeleteI saw it on the front page yesterday
CollegeHumor has it now? Prepare to welcome a lot more college bronies to the herd! That site is really popular.
ReplyDeleteI love this sort of pony science stuff.

I don't consider this a good thing at all.

Okay... I am being a bit of a pedantic jerk there. Still, mildly entertaining video.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I've pretty much stopped posting their; most of the community is derp.
There's so much woosh in that thread it's unimaginable. It's supposed to be a fun little project, not some serious physics situation.
@bagofchips
ReplyDeletePeople take the internet way to seriously.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteHow are you certain the community put that up? It could very well been written by some outsiders who have a problem with the community.
Herp, derp. I can now be a hipster and say that I was one of the first 3000 people to watch this video. Derp, herp.
ReplyDeleteA hipster? LOL.
ReplyDelete^^I can say I was the one who saw it first, because I was the guy in the video.

What was the teacher reaction? Do you know your mark?
^I got a 16/16, and my teacher loved it. She wanted me to send her the powerpoint to use for future examples.
