Someone dug something neat out of the Daniel Ingram website.
For a while now, the number 24 has been floating around for episodes in season two (Primarily from Wiki), but if you check out the resume on Danielingrammusic.com, you will see an interesting little passage for My Little Pony Season 2
Looks like there are actually 26 episodes! Rejoice! 44 extra more minutes of ponies awaiting us down the line!

ReplyDeleteThat's interesting.
ReplyDeleteCould just be a typo of course, most seasons of things are 26 episodes.
Nice. Looks promising already.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why the two extra episodes. Maybe that lurking arching storyline they wanted to do demanded more time?
Fuck year.
ReplyDeleteAnother two parter maybe?
ReplyDeleteHooooray!
ReplyDelete@NinesTempest
How's your Dashfire going?
I'd be interested to see what happens if someone poked Mr. Ingram about that, he may have copy-pasted from season 1...
ReplyDeleteMore Ponies! :D
ReplyDeleteSeth I would have confirmed this before I posted this blog entry if I were you
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI did, thats where I got the screenshot ;p
PONIES! WOOOOOOOOOOO!
ReplyDeletethe light at the end of the dark summer tunnel just got a little brighter. yay!
ReplyDeleteWhether 24 episodes or 26, I'll just be happy to see some more pony once the summer gets over with. Though 26 episodes would be "fap-worthy", if you don't mind the crude nature of the term.
ReplyDelete...Hmm, I never thought I'd ever wish for the summer to end quickly. Confound these ponies, they've changed every aspect of my being!
How very very interesting. First sources say 24, now this says 26... That's a possibility of 24 Normal Episodes and a 2 Part Special (Heh, if the Two Part Special is the finale...)
ReplyDeleteO. MG. Yay!
ReplyDeleteHmm. Just maybe (and I might be talking crazy here) two of the episodes haven't outsourced any animation to Top Draw Animation (the origin of the 24 episode rumor)? This is exciting news, but it's not confirmation either way.
ReplyDeleteMost TV shows are 26 episodes in a standard season, or 13 in a half season.
ReplyDeleteIt's 26 episodes to make a round 50, I've seen a lot of shows do that.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, those shows usually only have the two seasons.
Sign that this may be the last pony season?
@chinlamp
ReplyDeleteNah.
Think positive, there WILL be a season 3.
Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesssss!
ReplyDelete...yes.
@chinlamp
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say that just yet. With two seasons the show will still be relatively young and if it continues to surge in popularity over the next season I can see Hasbro wanting to hold on to it as one of its most popular Hub shows. Anyhow, we shouldn't worry just yet, lets see how season two does first.
@Anonymous That's what we thought about SatAM Sonic. ._. Season 3 means the Apocalypse is nil, and the Ponyocalypse is true!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy there is a Season 2 at all! I'm pretty easy to please that way. =)
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I'm not surprised. A season generally consists of either 13 or 26 episodes. Since the first season of FiM had 26 episodes, it seemed to follow one of the regular formats. I was therefore quite surprised when the 24 eps for season 2 came up.
ReplyDeleteThe number 24 seemed weird (seeing that season 1 has 26 eps), but well, we all fell for it. Yay for 26 :D
ReplyDeleteO.o I'm so giddy seeing my pic pop up everywhere. Anyways, I'm all for twenty-six but me and my ADD love twenty-five as a better number. Let's just hooray for season two!
ReplyDeleteWOOOT!!!
ReplyDeletehere's the top draw link if anyone wants it

maybe the other two are being done in-house?
I find it odd that it looks like he's referring specifically to season two, with no mention of season one. He did work on season one, so why not list it, unless he did list it and can't mention how much work he's done on season two yet because it's all DNT still.
ReplyDelete@the (fallen) Princess Luna
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 isn't mentioned because it's a list of what he is currently working on.
Surprised 'JUST LIKE ONE OF MY JAPANESE ANIMES" hasn't been noted yet...
ReplyDelete@Anonymous The other two shows both list a first and second season.
ReplyDeleteUnless he's listing MLP as just MLP and MLP Season Two rather than MLP S1 and S2.
Since he lists two seasons for the other two, it can't just be what he's working on, though the note is that he is still working on them, as a second season isn't normally started till the first is finished in production.
52 Pound Puppies eps?

ReplyDeleteyet again this video comes in handy.
I'm ecstatic, yay moar pony!
@Quentin
ReplyDeleteSonic SatAM is a bad example: The next season was spiked due to SEGA throwing a hissy fit over DIC selling cels.
GIVE ME PONY. 200 EXTRA MINS.
ReplyDeleteMore Ponies: better!
ReplyDeleteYou know what will happen 21th december 2012 ?
ReplyDeleteThis show will stop.....FOREVER !!!
