This dude just sucks at speeches. He either had stage fright or didn't plan on what he would say in the least, but the ponies deserve better than this. I might just be mad at him for calling Rarity worst, she is the artist of the group.
Yikes... I don't know if I can bring myself to watch this, judging from the comments on the video it sounds like it just seethes with embarrassment and awkwardness...
While I agree that Rarity's element doesn't mean shit as she's constantly a selfish whiny bitch, and I personally don't like her as much as the other ponies, saying that Fluttershy is the second worst pony means DEATH.
But truth of the matter is Rarity is one of the meanest ponies next to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. (Wishing Fluttershy would burn out, ect.) Plus she made Carrot Top change her hair color. I'm allowed to have an opinion, I'm also allowed to sell pitch forks...give me five virtual bucks and I'll give you a virtual pitch fork and throw in a virtual muffin. The cookies are free of charge but you can only have one and maybe a Derpy desktop pony application where she has a mail bag and drops mail everywhere as she wanders the screen.
We're not going to kill anypony 10:27, we're just going to maim the guy... a little. Also for reasons of my own voalitions I can not sell virtual torches like I can sell virtual pitch forks. Another thing of note is that I could probably sell virtual feathers and honey, the guy needs a chicken costume.
From a presentation standpoint, it was an absolute trainwreck, but I approve of the subject. Also, I would like to state for the record: 1. Rainbow Dash 2. Twilight Sparkle 3. Fluttershy 4. Rarity 5. Applejack 6. Pinkie Pie
I expect that everyone will agree with my opinion and there will be no dissent, right? ...right? ...guys?
This guy sucks at presenting a speech. But I do give you props for having the balls to do that. But I still want to kill you for saying that Rarity is the worst Pony
He probably is a newer brony, plus one with stagefright, so forgetting a few things here and there is forgiveable. Still don't approve of the Fluttershy hating, but that's opinions.
Plus, you know how hard it would be to explain how awesomely amazing this show is in just the few minutes he had? Heck, if it were me giving the presentation, it could easily stretch out over an hour, and I'm neither good at planning things, nor delivering speeches, so I would want to keep it as short as possible.
If I were giving a presentation on the show, I would definitely try to include a demonstration of some of the key reasons for the show's awesomeness (ie Winter Wrap Up, fanbase appreciation in the form of Ditzy'spostal work, etc.), because if I'm going to go up on a stage and talk about My Little Pony for an hour, well Celestiadangit, I'm gonna do it right. And before you ask, no, I have no idea how it turned into me fantasizing about doing this sort of thing.
But the difference between him and me (and pretty much everyone) is that he actually did it, likely with little public speaking background. So I say we not act like Gildas, and give him the benefit of the doubt.
Also you can't argue with me because it's 12:50 in the morning and I just start spouting random manure after 9 pm anyway.
What exactly did this speech prove? What is this guy's point? Speeches generally persuade, convince, or inform in some other way that shows you actually did research. Why not research why the show's demographic is so weird? Symbolism? Differences between a truly sales-based cartoon and this? And you didn't even have pics of Derpy and Celestia? BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T FIND ONE IN TIME? WTF? Totally turn in your Brony Badge, loser. You just made ponies look bad.
Also, your 'teacher' is a spaz. I hope you got a D on this.
It's good that he had the courage to make the presentation, and 'stage fright' aside...this was horrible.
It only had 6 slides, and he didn't even put them in order(He said he was going to review the unicorns first, then bam, there's a picture of Applejack.)
I guess it's okay that he dislikes Rarity and Fluttershy, but he gave no reason to the others on why. It was sort of just like "So there's Fluttershy. She likes to talk to animals. She's the second worst pony. Okay next slide."
It didn't even seem like he put much effort into this. Fluttershy does more than 'talk to animals', Rarity does more than 'make dresses'(Honestly, how many times do you see her making dresses in the show, anyways?), and so on. That presentation gave no justice to the show, and made the ponies seem like they had barely any personality whatsoever.
@Anonymous True, we should do what pinkie pie did to Gilda. (or we could also pretend that pinkie pie haven't planned this whole thing from the beginning and it was coincidence and throw a party instead if super-huge prank)
Taking journalism this semester, one of my assignments was a feature story. I decided to focus on "college-age men" watching the show. I told the teacher, and she liked the idea.
The next week, she had each of us say what our project was, to the class. She called on me first.
Why don't people like Rarity? Maybe for two reasons. Early in the season she wasn't the focus of many episodes, giving the viewer less time to get to know her. And also possibly because she's the most stereotypically feminine character, and a show with a mostly male fanbase is used to not really thinking too highly of those traits. Heck, I'm female and lots of times I didn't think too highly of those traits.
I don't know. It took me some time to really like Rarity. She's cute, and I was sort of impressed that the message of "Dog and Pony Show" was that it's ok to be whatever sort of girl you are, even a really femmy one, since that message is not exactly common. But...I really identify with a lot of the other ponies more. There are all sorts of confusing messages everywhere in the culture that everyone wants a gorgeous lady but no one really respects the behaviors you have to exhibit to be one. She's been growing on me since Art of the Dress, though.
@Anonymous My girlfriend shares lots of traits with Rarity, from the obsessing over her work to the least detail, to biting more than she can chew when tackling works and ending up all "art of the dress" on them. She also enjoys stuff like makeup and spa visits... The stereotypical feminine traits... And yet, she's one of the smartest, awesomest people I've known (Else I'd not have asked her out).
... which is probably why Rarity is my favorite pony in the show;; i could picture my GF having the same reactions in similar situations.
That said, I think Rarity is a good exception to the rule that Skin-Deep beauty is hollow. You can be fashion-leaded, and yet be an incredible artist. Not to mention the fact Rarity's EoH is generosity. Care for one's aesthetics doesn't imply total self-centeredness.
I'd love to give a presentation on FiM; I've already given a short presentation introducing a class to Korean pop music, so I'm a little used to "different" topics like this. It seems like, if it was done well enough, I could get a few new brony friends out of it!
I would agree with pretty much all the comments about this being terrible. I'm sorry but he told nobody about nothing.
I'm sure the people in his class were confused further then ever. What class was this for? What points was he trying to convey? Where were his text and bulleted lists? I don't get it... at all.
I could feel my blood boil as he talked, this man was an obvious troll. Insane thing is my computer wouldn't let me get past the fluttershy part (refused to play the rest outright) goes to show that you dont dis fluttershy.
What makes me hate Rarity are her rabid fans. Shy girls are only compelling for closet misogynist losers who dream about helpless, weak little waifus who require constant care and protection.
As bad as his display for the show was, that took some balls. If only he could've taken more time to improve his speech and presentation of the show, it would've gotten a better review.
Also, where does he get the idea that Rarity and Fluttershy were one of the worst two in general? If it's coming from a personal opinion, that's fine but it doesn't leave a good impression for others trying to get to know the show.
Oh look we are having this argument again. I bet if the guy didn't say anything about certain characters you would all hail him. Seriously chill out, who cares what others think about your favorite cartoon pony, some of you are taking this way too seriously, try to be less obsessive.
Oh my. It seems that this man has balls not because he was brave enough to speak of this topic, but because he just called upon the hordes of Fluttershy and Rarity fans to collectively hate him.
He hsa a baals, But I'm ready to cut 'em off! No one dare to insult my Fluttershy! (and Rarity)
Also this guy will newer got loudspeaker cutie-mark (or whatever it can look like) coz he has no tallent in speech in front of audience. And that is only half of bads. What was the general point of this poor presentation anyway?
Majority of audience even do not know about stuff like "element's of harmony". What is the point to mention it?
I don't think the presentation was a completely serious one. Sure, the guy probably does like ponies, but the presentation doesn't seem to have that actual academic value. Probably just a speech to give to the class for fun.
Lol! Stealin my idea. XD I was planning on giving a speech on ponys next monday in my class. Ahaha! IMO, he could have done a bit more rehersing/preperation for it. All the laughing and "ums" are deff going to lose him points even if everyone is laughing.
Honestly dude, I usually fear to think about that sort of stuff... but putting Fluttershy (and even rarity!) at the bottom of the list is so blasphemous that I fucking agree! ACID BOARD AWAY!
Though personally, I dont have a favourite because I dont want to diappoing nopony never.
>fluttershy worst pony >she likes to talk to animals >not mentioning her scolding a fucking dragon >not mentioning her outstaring a goddamn cockatrice >not mentioning her taming a manticore >not mentioning her being supportive of her friends >not mentioning her getting progressively more and more assertive each episode >not mentioning Flutterguy
>Shy girls are only compelling for closet misogynist losers who dream about helpless, weak little waifus who require constant care and protection.
As a shy girl with more to offer than fuck all, I politely request that you SHUT THE FUCK UP.
All that aside, this wasn't really a serious presentation. It was kind of fun, I guess... But saying you 'couldn't find' a picture of Derpy Hooves? DERPY HOOVES???
Well, it was very nice. Pretty brave. Stop being so hard people, I know his speech is very subjective (as a Rarity fan, I didn't like his comment), but it's not like the speech is about a scientific discovery or something like that.
Yeah, this is some of the worst public speaking I've ever seen. Points for effort, I guess?
How would my school react if I did a presentation like this? Considering the high concentration of bronies at my college, I'd say about 3/4ths would cheer me on, and the rest would have no idea what I was talking about. Except for the one guy who knows all about MLP but hates it because it's become popular.
I don't see why everyone is saying some characters are better than others. I personally think every pony in the show are all awesome in their own way. In fact one of the reasons i watch this show is because of how diverse the characters are in the first place.
Although having a favorite character is a good thing too, I think this is a show where all the characters deserve equal respect :)
This is awesome! Your public speaking could use a little work and it would probably be funnier if you were absolutely serious the entire time. I happen to like both Fluttershy and Rarity, but I suppose everyone has different opinions. How didn't you have enough time to find a picture of Derpy Hooves? She is everywhere.... DA, Google Images, even here on ED. Anyway, I liked this presentation even though it was a little bit subjective..... and it certainly took balls.
Brony's got serious cojones, but this wasn't exactly The King's Speech. Well, maybe the first part of it.
I kid, I kid. Perhaps not the best-prepped of presentations, which might not make things go over well with the people who saw it. If they weren't bronies already, it might end up taking more convincing.
Each and every character has her own thing to bring to the table and each of them have their own moments, but id be lying if I said I didn't have a list of favorites
There is a difference between having a favorite or least favorite and saying that somepony is objectively worse than another.
Also, Rarity proves that you don't need to be selfless to be generous. Don't conflate generosity with kindness, generosity isn't about not having selfish desires, it is about transcending your desires and realizing that other's are just as important as yourself. You don't even have to like somepony to be generous, it is about making a meaningful contribution to something larger than yourself.
So if you think rarity being mean or selfish is going against her element, it is my opinion that you missed the point, that's Fluttershy's domain.
For Lady Rarity! Chaaaaaaaaaaarge! *Annihilates a building by running at it and slamming against the side wall very very hard. Oh wait, I was wrong. The building wasn't annihilated. My body was.*
Seriously though, it's pretty admirable that the guy went through with a speech on it anyway.
As someone who thought Speech class was the greatest thing after Composition, I'm appalled. If you're going to do something geeky, you need to do it right.
My speeches were, in order: How to Procrastinate Writing a Speech, A Sales-Pitch for the Triforce, A Biography on Nicholas (the character from Dream Theater's 'Scenes from a Memory' album), a report on the fall of the USG Ishimura (the space shuttle from Dead Space), and lastly, the Holocaust.
Each was about 20-30 minutes long, usually on the verge of too-long, and the Triforce speech combined elements of Billy Mays and Vince Offer.
It doesn't take balls that big. Had FIM been around then, I'd more than likely have done the event speech over the Winter Wrap Up.
This was just embarrassing to watch. Son, I am disappoint.
tl;dr: If you're going to do something like this, don't half ass it. Go big or stay home, brony.
Oh wow. Just wow. I could never do something like this. I'm just way too Flutter"shy". But this has got me thinking of trying to make a Brony rating guide to see just how commited my fellow bronies are to the herd.
Oh come on guys, seriously? You're bashing another brony when he is the first of us to actually do a speech about MLP: FiM in a public setting? We should be praising him for being a visionary by taking the fandom 1 step further; challenging other bronies to do the same. Who cares what the complete content in the speech was about, he was only given a short 5 minutes (which also included questions). I, sir, salute you for being this courageous and perhaps signalling more bronies to take more public actions to spread the word of friendship and tolerance.
Maybe he had balls for bringing it up at all in front of his peers, but that doesn't make this right.
Sure I'm a little >:| about him calling Fluttershy the second worst pony (I used to agree about Rarity until about halfway through the season, but she's still my least liked), but that's not what all the hate is about.
This was an awfully executed speech and he obviously put no prior thought into it aside from pulling those stock images. He couldn't put them in order or even remember some of the information about them. Stage fright nothing, if he'd taken the time to write a couple cue cards he could have had this in the bag.
It seems like he's just trolling. Like he saw all these guys going crazy for ponies and decided to make fun of them by imitating them during a "speech" to introduce others to the show.
I do not applaud, salute, or give this "brony" new found respect at all.
Maybe he was just doing this parody the fandom; it is highly probable because he didn't even know what animals were clustered on Fluttershy's cutie mark. But still, if this sparks any interest for any other bronies to do something like this (albeit better executed), then I don't see it as a truly bad thing. Nonetheless, maybe until then I won't consider this that good or ballsy, being that there is a high chance it's a troll.
You sir deserve an award. You probably know why by now :) However I dont think this was a good presentation at all. Feel free to mail me and I'll teach you every and all tricks I know about presentations :)
Doing a presentation about MLP does not! takes balls .... doing a "good" presentation about MLP takes balls (and intelligence)
As much you want to praise this guy for what he did(I'm not) you can't ignore that this is a terrible presentation. The whole time he sounds embarrassed to be up there(like he lost a bet or something). I'm not saying to take the show seriously (MLP defiantly doesn't) but you should have at least tried to have fun with it
Sure it's high and noble he's doing this, glad to see another brony and all, but this presentation is absolutely horrid. He really needs some speech classes, this is the kind of presentation the stoner kids half-ass to not get in trouble for not doing a project, yet he apparently did this on his own accord. I expected to see a bit more effort. Neat thing to do, just next time anybody decides to do it please properly prepare yourself first. Nice attempt, though, keep it up. Just keep quality in mind.
He should be thankful I wasn't there, because I would've literally jumped onto the stage, smashed a chair onto his sniveling head, and then take over the presentation myself.
Recently had ponies in a presentation myself. Put a picture of Rarity into my Chem 481 biochemistry class presentation at the end. Sadly, no bronies commented on it.
I was so looking forward to doing a sociology presentation related to the ponies this semester. Unfortunately, I got the professor who doesn't have students do presentations.
Maybe I can find a way to work ponies into the few classes of Intro to Anthropology I'll teach next semester as a TA.
Also, I refuse to believe I'm the only brony at the College of Wooster.
I don't understand all the laughter. Ponies are serious business. I think you should give Rarity another chance (a few watches of Green isn't Your Color and A Dog and Pony Show should do it - a bit of meditation on Rarity would improve your presentation skills. Seriously.
Rarity is the best pony, Princess Celestia is the worst pony; these are facts.
It was a wonderful idea (I did something similar by reviewing the show for my Media Journalism class, but unfortunately I may not be able to figure out how to get the thing uploaded until sometime during the fall semester.) This could have been a lot better if he'd been more prepared and had more material and content, but he did pull it off hilariously and I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. He obviously did have a limited amount of time to put it together and present.
I personally could go on and on forever about how awesome the show is, so it was a BIG challenge for me to get my review to last for less than 4 minutes (while nearly everyone else struggled to get theirs to one minute! That's always me! I have trouble editing my papers down, not lengthening them.) So, yes, there are a ton of other interesting directions he could have taken this, things he could have discussed or mentioned to provide a better understanding of the series and its whole mythos...and he seemed very under-prepared, but I still give him major props for being enough of a brony to just do what he did. Maybe the point was only to give a brief and basic introduction to something. Who knows?
As for calling Fluttershy and Rarity the worst ponies...he's entitled to his opinion. Everypony is somepony's favorite, and everypony is somepony's shit tier, as I once read. Now, those two happen to be my last two favorites as well, but in contrast to him, I still ADORE them and would never apply the word "worst." Rarity is my "least favorite" of the mane six, but I love her so much that it almost pains me to say it. And Fluttershy sometimes jumps slightly ahead of Pinkie Pie, my #4, or ties with her neck and neck. So anyway, clearly, you can love them all and still have favorites...but I suppose if there's one or two that just don't tickle your fancy that much, it's your right to criticize them...3':
Anyway, I would have liked to have heard a lot more detail, as there is a good deal more to each character than this audience was really made to see.

Fluttershy and Rarity being the "worst", SOMEONE GET THE PITCHFORK AND TORCHES!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI salute you Speaker Guy, that said your statement that Rarity is the worst pony means your life is forfeit.
>fluttershy and rarity being the worst
ReplyDeleteBLASPHEMY!
The creator should be waterboarded in sulfuric acid!
Student from that college here.
ReplyDeleteThis was not advertised at all and I have no idea what Barcamp is.
I was talking with some other bronies here about possibly setting up a poni club, but I doubt it will ever happen.
Who's got big balls? You got big balls.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteGiving a talk about MLP:FiM to your college class does not take big balls.
It takes ENORMOUS balls.
This dude just sucks at speeches. He either had stage fright or didn't plan on what he would say in the least, but the ponies deserve better than this. I might just be mad at him for calling Rarity worst, she is the artist of the group.

ReplyDeleteI'd rather not have it taint my view on the show.
HOLY SHIT I KNOW THIS GUY!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it is possible to give a presentation like this with a straight face.
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable the speaker did all right to get over nerves public speaking but his content was definitely a "let the claw-plach begin" moment.
ReplyDeleteRARITY THE WORST PONY!!!! Get me my shotgun and pitchfork! Next to AJ she is the Second best!
ReplyDeleteWhile I agree that Rarity's element doesn't mean shit as she's constantly a selfish whiny bitch, and I personally don't like her as much as the other ponies, saying that Fluttershy is the second worst pony means DEATH.
ReplyDeleteWatch your back man.
This guy got huge balls! I wouldn't be able to even deliver the first line of the speech.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it's an opinionated speech.
ReplyDeleteBut truth of the matter is Rarity is one of the meanest ponies next to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. (Wishing Fluttershy would burn out, ect.) Plus she made Carrot Top change her hair color. Fluttershy, The "second worst" character!?
ReplyDelete>WORST
You're going to pony hell
@Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteI'd give you more than five virtual dollars for all that, and you can keep the pitchfork.
I'd respect this more if this guy had his facts straight.
ReplyDeleteAh well, what're you gonna do.
This is so awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is so courageous.
The worst pony, in my book, is nopony. They are all Raritys to me...
ReplyDelete>FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC
ReplyDelete>LOVE AND TOLERATE
>KILL BRONY THAT DISSES FLUTTERSHY
>PRETEND THIS IS GREENTEXT.
but yeah. I understand the rage, but take it easy everypony.
ReplyDeleteThis man has elephantitis of the balls. Respect!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I will sadly have to join in on lynching you for calling Fluttershy the second worst pony.
First: he was going to talk about "how awesome [MLP:FiM] is. He did not. He went over the characters, and that was it.
ReplyDeleteSecond: This did not seem very well prepared. The slides were in the wrong order, and he did not have much to say on each pony.
Third: It is extremely unprofessional to say the word "shit" in a presentation.
Forth: No reasons were given why any pony was "the worst" or "the second worst". Are we just to take your word for it?
Fifth and final: How DARE you say that about Fluttershy! You didn't even know what her cutie mark was! Turn in your brony badge, sir.
Fluttershy should always be your favorite, or at least second favorite pony. Always.
ReplyDeleteFrom a presentation standpoint, it was an absolute trainwreck, but I approve of the subject. Also, I would like to state for the record:

There are no bad ponies, only ignorant bronies.
ReplyDeleteRarity rocks, while she does have some characteristics reminiscent of a "libby" archetype she never goes overboard and always acts classy.
Fluttershy, the second worst pony? Burn the blasphemer!
When the person asked if they all had tattoos, and he nonchalantly said "that's a Cutie Mark", I laughed so hard that no sound came out.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly did this speech prove? What is this guy's point? Speeches generally persuade, convince, or inform in some other way that shows you actually did research. Why not research why the show's demographic is so weird? Symbolism? Differences between a truly sales-based cartoon and this? And you didn't even have pics of Derpy and Celestia? What a joker! Ponies are srs bsns!! xD
ReplyDeleteI much prefer to use words like "personal least favorite" when talking about such characters as the MLP mane cast.
THERE IS NO WORST PONY. THERE ARE ONLY LEAST FAVORITES.
ReplyDeleteFor example, Fluttershy is my least favorite of the six; however, Fluttershy is still completely awesome and mega-cute.
It's good that he had the courage to make the presentation, and 'stage fright' aside...this was horrible.

@Hatesteed
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to second this.
I'd love to give a presentation on FiM; I've already given a short presentation introducing a class to Korean pop music, so I'm a little used to "different" topics like this.

I could feel my blood boil as he talked, this man was an obvious troll. Insane thing is my computer wouldn't let me get past the fluttershy part (refused to play the rest outright) goes to show that you dont dis fluttershy.
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me hate Rarity are her rabid fans.
ReplyDeleteShy girls are only compelling for closet misogynist losers who dream about helpless, weak little waifus who require constant care and protection.
As bad as his display for the show was, that took some balls. If only he could've taken more time to improve his speech and presentation of the show, it would've gotten a better review.
ReplyDeleteAlso, where does he get the idea that Rarity and Fluttershy were one of the worst two in general? If it's coming from a personal opinion, that's fine but it doesn't leave a good impression for others trying to get to know the show.
Yay, someone else who doesn't like Fluttershy.
ReplyDeleteThis guy WINS!
unprofessional presentation? gimme a break. this was just a guy talking to his class about ponies. so take your critical ass somewhere else.
ReplyDeletealso, opinions lol
@Putuk
ReplyDeletenot really, no
there's nothing to win with branding ANY pony "worst"
"This is blasphemy... THIS IS MADNESS."
ReplyDelete...madness?
THIS.
IS.
The manliest brony on earth.
"my favorite > your favorite"
ReplyDeleteOh look we are having this argument again. I bet if the guy didn't say anything about certain characters you would all hail him. Seriously chill out, who cares what others think about your favorite cartoon pony, some of you are taking this way too seriously, try to be less obsessive.
Is this what Amerifags study in their collages?
ReplyDeleteThere's tons of blasphemy in this !!!
ReplyDeleteSrill, great respect to the speaker for pulling this off xD
Oh my. It seems that this man has balls not because he was brave enough to speak of this topic, but because he just called upon the hordes of Fluttershy and Rarity fans to collectively hate him.
ReplyDeleteMy professor would beat the S#$ out of me if even mentioned making a presentation about this.
ReplyDeleteI have to say...I admire your bravery for even doing this its fun to see their reaction to this.
ReplyDeleteUm... H-Has anypony seen Angel? All I found was this note with a *gulp* skull and crossbones in his bed.
ReplyDeleteHe hsa a baals, But I'm ready to cut 'em off! No one dare to insult my Fluttershy! (and Rarity)
ReplyDeleteAlso this guy will newer got loudspeaker cutie-mark (or whatever it can look like) coz he has no tallent in speech in front of audience.
ReplyDeleteI can say he was pretty brave....but dam i just wished the presentation was more professional at the least....
ReplyDeleteLol! Stealin my idea. XD I was planning on giving a speech on ponys next monday in my class. Ahaha!
ReplyDeleteIMO, he could have done a bit more rehersing/preperation for it. All the laughing and "ums" are deff going to lose him points even if everyone is laughing.
Dude, you have balls to be so brave as to go up to a group of people and talk about how FiM is awesome.
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty great. Any sort of explanation as to what class that was for and what the project was?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWhy so serious?
/co/nrad here, time to call batman and the heavy again...
ReplyDeleteHe's making Fluttershy cry...
ReplyDeleteYou know what to do, fellow bronies.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteHonestly dude, I usually fear to think about that sort of stuff... but putting Fluttershy (and even rarity!) at the bottom of the list is so blasphemous that I fucking agree! ACID BOARD AWAY!
Though personally, I dont have a favourite because I dont want to diappoing nopony never.

ReplyDelete>fluttershy worst pony
ReplyDelete>she likes to talk to animals
>not mentioning her scolding a fucking dragon
>not mentioning her outstaring a goddamn cockatrice
>not mentioning her taming a manticore
>not mentioning her being supportive of her friends
>not mentioning her getting progressively more and more assertive each episode
>not mentioning Flutterguy
Yup, this guy is a faggot
I laughed ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTen bucks says this guy lost a bet while drunk.
ReplyDeleteStill awesome, though. He'll be dead by morning for the Fluttershy thing, but awesome all the same.
@Anonymous I bet if he showed Flutterguy he would have gotten a much better response.
ReplyDeleteI want to do something like that!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDelete>Shy girls are only compelling for closet misogynist losers who dream about helpless, weak little waifus who require constant care and protection.
ReplyDeleteStop being so hard people, I know his speech is very subjective (as a Rarity fan, I didn't like his comment), but it's not like the speech is about a scientific discovery or something like that.
Making an entire presentation just to troll the internet? Pretty bold, son.
ReplyDeleteSuch audacity and spotlight-hogging is worthy of Winged Rarity. She would commend you, but she's too busy being the best pony.
Yeah, this is some of the worst public speaking I've ever seen. Points for effort, I guess?
ReplyDeleteHow would my school react if I did a presentation like this? Considering the high concentration of bronies at my college, I'd say about 3/4ths would cheer me on, and the rest would have no idea what I was talking about. Except for the one guy who knows all about MLP but hates it because it's become popular.
I don't see why everyone is saying some characters are better than others. I personally think every pony in the show are all awesome in their own way. In fact one of the reasons i watch this show is because of how diverse the characters are in the first place.
ReplyDeleteAlthough having a favorite character is a good thing too, I think this is a show where all the characters deserve equal respect :)
ReplyDeletewe need to get a brony that's good at speeches to do something
ReplyDeleteBrony's got serious cojones, but this wasn't exactly The King's Speech. Well, maybe the first part of it.
ReplyDeleteI kid, I kid.
ReplyDeleteThat was painful. I couldn't get past the first three minutes because the speaker had zero self awareness.
ReplyDeleteThere is a difference between having a favorite or least favorite and saying that somepony is objectively worse than another.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Rarity proves that you don't need to be selfless to be generous.
That guy had balls of steel.
ReplyDeleteThough the speech was actually.... Pretty bad.
Imma give this guy props for even doing this.
For Lady Rarity! Chaaaaaaaaaaarge! *Annihilates a building by running at it and slamming against the side wall very very hard. Oh wait, I was wrong. The building wasn't annihilated. My body was.*
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, it's pretty admirable that the guy went through with a speech on it anyway.
Right, Rarity and Fluttershy hating and the dubious quality of the speech aside...this man's balls have their own gravity well
ReplyDeleteAs someone who thought Speech class was the greatest thing after Composition, I'm appalled. If you're going to do something geeky, you need to do it right.
ReplyDeleteMy speeches were, in order: How to Procrastinate Writing a Speech, A Sales-Pitch for the Triforce, A Biography on Nicholas (the character from Dream Theater's 'Scenes from a Memory' album), a report on the fall of the USG Ishimura (the space shuttle from Dead Space), and lastly, the Holocaust.
So wait, we love and respect the trolls and raiders, but burn and hang this guy for his opinions?
ReplyDeleteOh you guys...
retarded presentation.
ReplyDeleteretarded speech.
retarded guy.
if all of u call "have balls of steel" to that, maybe my ass was made of adamantium
Oh wow. Just wow. I could never do something like this. I'm just way too Flutter"shy". But this has got me thinking of trying to make a Brony rating guide to see just how commited my fellow bronies are to the herd.
ReplyDeleteOh come on guys, seriously? You're bashing another brony when he is the first of us to actually do a speech about MLP: FiM in a public setting? We should be praising him for being a visionary by taking the fandom 1 step further; challenging other bronies to do the same. Who cares what the complete content in the speech was about, he was only given a short 5 minutes (which also included questions). I, sir, salute you for being this courageous and perhaps signalling more bronies to take more public actions to spread the word of friendship and tolerance.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he had balls for bringing it up at all in front of his peers, but that doesn't make this right.
ReplyDeleteSure I'm a little >:| about him calling Fluttershy the second worst pony (I used to agree about Rarity until about halfway through the season, but she's still my least liked), but that's not what all the hate is about.
ReplyDeleteYou sir deserve an award. You probably know why by now :) However I dont think this was a good presentation at all. Feel free to mail me and I'll teach you every and all tricks I know about presentations :)
ReplyDeleteFor all Fluttershy fans.
ReplyDeletehttp://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f241/goldkiller_9/fluttershy-speech.jpg
im in highschool and know one i know whatches the show and i am afriad i will be ridiculed forever. so i am not as brave as you.
ReplyDeletei congradulate you my friend... help me
i'll bet fluttershy have better speech than this idiot
ReplyDeleteDoing a presentation about MLP does not! takes balls .... doing a "good" presentation about MLP takes balls (and intelligence)
ReplyDeleteAs much you want to praise this guy for what he did(I'm not) you can't ignore that this is a terrible presentation. The whole time he sounds embarrassed to be up there(like he lost a bet or something). I'm not saying to take the show seriously (MLP defiantly doesn't) but you should have at least tried to have fun with it
I'm going to this college next year. I'll be sure to defend the honor of ponydom.
ReplyDeleteSure it's high and noble he's doing this, glad to see another brony and all, but this presentation is absolutely horrid.
ReplyDeleteHe really needs some speech classes, this is the kind of presentation the stoner kids half-ass to not get in trouble for not doing a project, yet he apparently did this on his own accord.
ReplyDeletehow many thit you get in your class?
ReplyDeleteRecently had ponies in a presentation myself. Put a picture of Rarity into my Chem 481 biochemistry class presentation at the end. Sadly, no bronies commented on it.
ReplyDeleteI was so looking forward to doing a sociology presentation related to the ponies this semester. Unfortunately, I got the professor who doesn't have students do presentations.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I can find a way to work ponies into the few classes of Intro to Anthropology I'll teach next semester as a TA.
Seriously.
ReplyDeleteRarity is the best pony, Princess Celestia is the worst pony; these are facts.
rarity is worst pony...so what parralel world is this guy in?
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, how did I not see this? XD
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful idea (I did something similar by reviewing the show for my Media Journalism class, but unfortunately I may not be able to figure out how to get the thing uploaded until sometime during the fall semester.) This could have been a lot better if he'd been more prepared and had more material and content, but he did pull it off hilariously and I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless.
This young man hurts me when he called Fluttershy a second worst character. He's trying to make us fans feel bad.
