Flutter Dash or Rainbow Shy is just fine.
ReplyDeletePlus it's standard that Rainbow has been with each pony in a story at some time or another.
But has she ever been shipped with all five of the main cast at the same time not counting group hugs? As in she activelt persues romantic interests in all of them and they are aware of it.

This is great. I loved both Chasing Rainbows and Catching Rainbows. They're the best FlutterDash fics out there in my opinion.

Regardless, I said what I liked in chat but I may as well reiterate; good setting, thought narrations felt in-character as much as the character themselves, great pacing, good job expressing both side's concerns, it was all a fun read.
Loved it, fantastic pacing, good characterisation. Peleponysian? Really?

ReplyDeleteThere is one final piece to this story, and it is the piece that convinced me to continue the story in the first place. I'm also on the hook for several other stories I hope everypony will enjoy, but hopefully it shall not take me another 45 days to reach the conclusion. My hoofsies are crossed it'll turn out as well as I want it to!

You know, I don't think it's really so much to do with the fact that she's a tomboy. That's more symptomatic of her interests aligning with more typically "masculine" thing. When writers give Dash a troubled past, I think it's got a lot more to do with the fact that she's... well... got a troubled past. She was kicked out of flight school, and seems to cling to the belief that she's either the best, or she's nothing. These aren't the sorts of traits you see in somepony who grew up 100% happy and content. I <3 Dash. She's my little broken butterfly...

Yes really. Peleponysian. If I accomplish only one thing in this fandom, I want it to be making that word stick. If I can accomplish two things, I'd also hope to inspire Drawfriend art at some point, but that's being greedy.

I've read all three so far, and I've come to realize that I love the way you write. I just ate the stories up like candy. I feel like I downed the most fantastic ice cream smoothie after a long, hot day.

I've read the three stories of the series now. It was a really pleasing and entertaining story. It made me laugh, it almost made me cry, and it contained really strong images. Like Fluttershy, standing alone on a cloud in the rain, waiting for Rainbow Dash to return to apology. Maybe I'll even draw a picture of that.

Really, both RD's and FS's characters are so spot-on, I love it. Plus Angel, hahaha such a cool little companion he is ^^
For some kind of reason, I can't completely approve for this kind of troubled past for Rainbow Dash, but what the hay, it makes the ship go so well, so let's go with it :3
