ReplyDeleteJust saying.
(underground pony society=vaults)
I kinda like it, although it reminds me a little too much of Apothesis (which is not a bad thing)
ReplyDeleteAlthough it has a tendency to ramble a bit, I found myself skipping some of the dialogue because it was rather irrelevant and didn't really add anything.
That being said, I kind of liked it, although the plot was probably the most generic I have ever seen on this site. I already can guess what's gonna happen next:
The earth ponies help rescue them and it turns out they weren't savages and they have to stop New Equestria and there is going to be a character that doesn't like living there and helps them, but they get captured and the mane cast has to rescue them.
And then everypony wins.
Or something.
Keep it up though!
How is it a Utopia and a Dystopia? That's... impossible?
ReplyDeleteMost "Utopias" in literature are ironic or broken in some way, so the distinction between the two is weaker than you might think.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, the world of Equestria as depicted in the show is probably about as close to a real Utopia as you can probably get. And even then Ponies have to grapple with issues that any real person would find familiar.
ReplyDeleteNOPONY EXPECTS THE NEW EQUESTRIAN INQUISITION!!

ReplyDeleteThat's not necessarily how things are going to go down. Ah, who am I kidding, that's probably how things are going to go down. Only there's going to be explosions.
And be fair, with the magic of friendship generally everypony wins.
Well, I like it in any case. Characters in character, dialouge sounds like I would think it would, and nice little shout outs. Even if the story is a bit "generic", that just means you need to use proper dialouge to make it still work, which I think you can do if the first two chapters are any indication. Keep it up, please.
ReplyDeleteUncanny. I've had pretty much exactly the same idea for a story, but your penmanship far outshines my own, I think. Do keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI'd watch the heck out of a spin-off series called "Twilight Sparkle, the Adventurer Librarian." :D

ReplyDeleteIt's probably because everybody likes journey to the center of the earth. Also, Twilight Sparkle is the perfect Science! Hero to go looking for a Lost World, it just makes sense for her to go underground and discover a lost civilization of ponies.
Has this been abandoned? Or did finals and summer madness get in the way of the third chapter?
