Am I the only one who instantly thought "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door" when I heard the beginning?
Pinkie's Parasprite Polka:
...And that, young filly, is the story of how a single pony managed to play an entire orchestral composition all by herself while walking down the road with a banjo.
Heh. I'd been thinking it'd be neat for Eurobeat Brony to make a "fashion mix" with Photo Finish's theme, Sapphires Shores' theme, and the Fashion Show theme all put together.
Makes me wish I knew how to create that kind of stuff. But I'm already having a hell of a time finding my "Cutie Mark", and I don't think a musical note is in my future.
Did anyone happen to notice the background voices that start around 0:38 and continue till near the end? It always creeps me out a bit when I hear background voices that are clearly saying things, but I can't make out what they are. Does anyone know of a way to filter out the rest of it so that background voice can be heard more clearly?
@Anonymous First thing I did, was go back to check the episode to remember what it said... And a dumb question, but it's not the BGM over the voice the important bit here?, else it'd be just a recording from show, no?
Ah, yeah, you're totally right. That was sorta silly of me. I guess for some reason I thought it was a remix of the original BGM. No, it's straight from the show, and then they just dimmed the dialog way down into the background.
Hey everypony! I'm the one who uploaded the photo finish theme song. @Anonymous The reason you can hear the voices is because I extracted the surround left and right channels from the 5.1 mix, but unfortunately, a tiny echo-y bit of the center channel voice carries over into all the channels.

Wow Photo Finish's theme is awesome, it reminds of some old video game music, Jazz Jackrabbit maybe.
ReplyDeletePhoto Finish has an awesome theme.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit!
ReplyDeleteJust thought "well, photp finish's theme would be nice. Why isnt there a remix or something like that on youtube?" and now this. Hell yes!
Hello new ringtone!
ReplyDeleteHello new morning alarm!
Waking up to the tunes of Parasprite Polka might be bad for your sanity in the long run...
ReplyDelete@Lurks-no-MoreI'll take my chances.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I see somepony else has actually played Jazz Jackrabbit
ReplyDeleteFUCKING FINALLY. I've been wondering why no one has done anything with pinkie's polka yet. I'm surprised eurobeat brony hasn't remixed it.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to add that there seems to be a lot of white noise or something in pinkie's polka. Can anyone clear that up? I'd love them forever.

Photo Finish's theme should be remixede by RainbowCrash88 into an NES style chiptune, then placed in a game as a mini boss battle theme or something
ReplyDeleteThe Polka song needs to become a ringtone. Now.
This is great.
ReplyDeleteI need the BGM of Swarm of the Century when the parasprites are destroying everything (for example, in Twilight's library).
is it jsut me.. or does the Parasprite Polka sound a bit like the Shinra March?
ReplyDeleteParasprite music reminds me of some German folk band in lederhosen.
ReplyDeleteFinally!!
ReplyDeleteWanted this since that episode

I wonder: did anypony already make something for this Pink Floyd piece?
ReplyDeleteCan we get the Parasprite theme BGM? Not the polka.
ReplyDeletePhoto Finish.
ReplyDeleteLoved her theme tune. (Kind of reminds me of Magnus Von Grapple style music from PM:TTYD)
Pinkie's Parasprite Polka.
Doesn't anybody think Pinkie was using the banjo as a substitute drum? It is so that everytime she lifted a leg into it, it'd make a thump sound.
In the Photo Finish song:

ReplyDeleteDude Jazz Jackrabbit was one of my favorite games as a kid.
That sounds more "oom-pah" than "polka", really.
