Was I seriously the only one who heard this song and said: "wow, this is great, if only Scootaloo didn't suck at singing!" Awesome upload, now I can prove to my bronies that this song doesn't suck!
@Display Name Not surprisingly, I heard everything. I have a perfect pitch hearing, so I almost broke down when Scootaloo came on. It, it hurt, but I did hear the awesome instruments behind the madness.
Thank Celestia the episodes were mixed in 5.1 for this to be possible... the background music for the whole show is impressive, and muting the center channel lets you experience it better.
I might be able to port this song to Rock Band just for the lulz
I can't be the only one who thinks some MLP songs should make their way to Rock Band, even just one or two.
I know it's probably the least likely thing to ever happen ever, but they DID get Through The Fire And Flames last week, and I noticed a heavy hip-hop version of The Itsy Bitsy Spider on RBN, so if you ask me, anything is possible.
I actually like the tune as it is. I guess it probably would be more enjoyable if Scoots were better at singing, but people say I have bad taste in music and I can't really dispute it effectively.
Anyway, it's been my favorite tune from the show since it's played.
I liked this song since the episode aired. I even said it in the chat while watching the stream. Epic music and intentionally bad vocals that actually turn out kinda cute.
I've been listening to Rainbow Crash's 8-bit mix non-stop the last three days, and I've always heard Scoots singing, though in the proper pitch. And I'd hear Sweetie Belle in some spots, but never Applebloom.
@Display Name Yeah but we're talking about a TV show, it's not the same. Before, they only put songs from Nickelodeon shows (SpongeBob, iCarly) and even that is impossible now because Harmonix isn't part of MTV Games anymore.
Of course it would be awesome.
I'm authoring the song anyways for the heck of it.

I love sweet sweet ponys
ReplyDeleteThat... really is awesome!

ReplyDeleteNo, I recognized its awesomeness too, for some reason I wasn't hearing as much instrumental sound when it had vocals though.
I just hope some day Eurobeat brony finishes his version of this, without singing it's brilliant!

An audio track straight out of the 80s. And much better without Scoot's singing!

ReplyDeleteI did too. I'm hoping that when Hasbro releases an album of the songs and music, this will be on there with a proper vocal track.

ReplyDeleteThat was the whole point. And why I found the episode hilarious.

ReplyDeleteYeah, it should be Sweetie Belle in the lead vocals
Am i the only one who found himself singing along? lol
ReplyDeleteI honestly sung this out loud.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably for the best i didn't record it, it was done in a lightly deep voice.(It's just how my singing ends up...)
It's fantastic, but I'm still wracking my brains trying to figure out what song or songs that the CMC anthem is a parody of.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteIt's not a direct parody, it's a pastiche of epic 80s hair bands - the wailing guitars give it away. :)

Sorry. But I still can't listen to the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteThey're just so awkward.

If sweetie belle could just get over her stage fright the CMC could be an awesome vocal band. Which I think should be an episode
ReplyDeleteThink I'm gonna throw together a vocal cover of this song, it'll sound oddly power metal though.

As a child of the 80's I highly approve of this.
