I think the logic with these things is that the better they look, the worse they taste, because my batch came out looking terrible (they didn't even rise, they're just half-muffins), and yet they were actually okay. Heck, my grandma had one for breakfast the morning after they were made.
Also, Cooking With Bronies. +1 support. Episode 1: CUPCAKE WITH AN APPLE ON TOP.
While it probably doesn't matter so much in a gag-recipe like the Baked Bads, I would strongly advise against measuring your dry ingredients in a liquid measuring cup. /end rant
The recipe calls for cup measurements and they take a cup to mean a whole pyrex jug (which was why they were so heavy and dense, too much flour). They then put too much of the mix in the wells.

Hmmm. I wonder if they'd taste better with less chips. Like an individual sized bad of chips.
ReplyDeleteA recipe for indigestion.

ReplyDeleteThanks for putting the video on here, they were really fun to make (not so much to eat).
Yes, using less chips WOULD probably make these taste better. The chip flavor is very strong.
I wonder if using sour cream and onion flavored chips would have changed the final flavor.
ReplyDeleteI am very tempted to make these....

ReplyDeleteI don't think they're SUPPOSED to taste good...

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see someone go hardcore mode on this and instead of gummy worms use a better misinterpretation of 'wheat worms' -- 'meal worms'.
