Description: Rainbow Dash begrudgingly takes Pinkie Pie and the Cutie Mark Crusaders to a concert she is certain she'll hate, after Applejack has a change of plans. But through a couple misadventures, and the actions of three mischievous fillies, plus the power of a good song, Rainbow Dash finds the value in lightening up and having fun and also in not judging something, or somepony, by initial appearances.Marshmallow Pie at the Jonas Ponies Concert

Jonas Ponies...
ReplyDeleteNope.avi
WOW
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't bad for something about the Jonas Ponie...
ReplyDeleteI sense the irony in how the story is presumably expressing the theme 'don't knock it until you've tried it', but many people are going to avoid reading due to the fictional band's name being a clear spinoff of a faggy IRL band.
ReplyDeleteThe irony only becomes more sweet when you realise that the same people avoiding the tale for the above reason are watching a show that looks faggy until one has tried it
@Anonymous Ding ding ding!
ReplyDeleteI mean sheesh. I spin off one song and don't even get descriptive with the band in question, and people are picking out that it's about the Jonas Ponies when it's really about Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie? I wanted to try something different, kinda humorous, goofy and otherwise nonsensical and give an aspect to Pinkie that I felt was kinda funny but still possessing the ability to rattle some chains. But when I saw her routine in Over a Barrel, my mind no longer saw any side of her as being out of reach. Basically I wanted to try some edgy comedy but still keep the cuteness mixed in and have a lesson as well. I actually liked how this turned out better than Rarity's Tale but it looks like people aren't reacting to this one as well as Rarity's Tale.
Not a Jonas Brothers fan, but I really enjoyed the story. God help us when Dash is the "responsible" one in the group.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm also enjoying all the delicious irony!
I was able to rub the irony on my face.
ReplyDeleteThis story is freaking hilarious.
Oh well thank you. I finally get a reaction I was looking for. But I don't think I'll be trying comedy all too much.
ReplyDeleteThen again. . . Gah! My next part in my Challenges of Love series is Pinkie Pie's Tale because I have another winter idea in mind, and I'm going to try to make it "truer" to Pinkie Pie.
This was a very entertaining story, it's about time that a fic surfaced that was nothing but mindless fun - all of the shipping and 'normal' stuff is getting a bit much
ReplyDeleteThis was pretty cute.
ReplyDelete*LOL* That was very well done! :D
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate all the positive comments. It helps a lot. I don't even care about the star rating dropping slightly. But I guess I gotta try a bit harder next time. I just find it weird how my "serious" story seems to be better received but more people are talking about this one. I think Pinkie Pie's Tale will turn out better than this one but I won't try goofy stuff too much. For some reason, I like making people cry with dramatic stories. But I DID like how this story turned out, probably even better than Rarity's Tale. Right now I'm working on a Twilight short story before I move onto Pinkie Pie's Tale. Stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteI quite preferred this one over Rarity's Tale. I commented on the fic (and continued our Rarity's Tale discussion) on this fic's DeviantArt page, hope you don't mind. I probably won't check back in this comment thread, but I check DA pretty frequently so if you reply to my message I'll be sure to get back to you if appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThis story was supposed to be my idea in the first place... :( I'll just have to write a different one... :/
