Rip it while it's available, because I'm pretty sure it's a bug.
Hub has uploaded Pinkie Pie's no fear song without the background music, just her singing. It's pretty unique without the chorus.
I thought it was cool at least.
You can find it below

oh wow thats intense.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's what the other ponies see and hear when she does that...
ReplyDeletethen the actual song as the audience hears it is just in pinkie's head?
ReplyDeleteDude... what?
ReplyDeletesomepony should rip this and make an mp3 out of it.
ReplyDeletePinkie's and Dash's expressions when the video ends make me want to laaaaaugh.
ReplyDeleteThis won't load for me :(
ReplyDeleteShe's got a beautiful voice.
ReplyDeleteAll these ponies are such darn good singers.
Amazing how good it is even without the music.
ReplyDelete>expecting it to not sound as good
ReplyDelete>it sounds just as good
its not loading for me either
ReplyDeleteOh man. Best bug ever! So this is what the ponies themselves probably hear...
ReplyDeleteAnd now I want all of her songs sans background music.
Maybe they didn't have the right to the actual music for the purposes of this individual part of the website?
ReplyDeleteA glitch seems more likely, but it's still possible.
Looks like deleted already.
ReplyDeleteAnyone has it saved?
It's still working for me.
ReplyDeleteDid you guys enable scripts and junk?
Yeah. I'm going to eagerly await for someone to rip this and form an MP3. I want that now.
ReplyDeleteRegrettably I never got the software to work right for me, so I'll just have to hope someone else gets on that and posts it.
please can any1 upload to youtube?
ReplyDeletei cant see the video for some reason
It is blocked for europeans.
ReplyDeleteCan't get it to work in any of my browsers (Opera, Chrome, IE). I guess it might be a region thing locking some of us out?
ReplyDeleteHopefully someone saves it and gets it up for us with problems
Nope, switched to Chicago server, still broken.
ReplyDeleteWow, this scene is a lot more powerful without the background music. You can hear Pinkie's voice echoing through the Everfree Forest. Really puts me on edge.
ReplyDeleteWith the music it's safer and funnier.
use a proxy if you can't watch this
ReplyDeleteDang, my normal downloader isn't working, could someone mega video it?

ReplyDelete-Gentle Taps
Hub's FAQ page states that non-US residents don't get to see the videos. Probably copyright and all that. Ameriponies, GET ON IT.
ReplyDeleteNow the real question is,
ReplyDeleteHOW DOES SHE AUTOTUNE HER VOICE.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteMuch obliged.
@Bobcat
ReplyDeletethe same way she can cartoon physics and fourth wall. it's pinkie we are talking about
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteSounds great, many thanks!
Update the main post to include this?
True. I guess I just got carried away with realism for a moment, after the idea came up that Pinkie's music was only in her head.
ReplyDelete320Kbps, no audio processing. http://www.mediafire.com/?p099fp2n3xi69u3
ReplyDeleteWould be nice to get the whole video. I used to be good at figuring out how to save videos off sites like this, but I must be getting old.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome.
ReplyDeleteAnd orange juice would be shorting out my laptop had I been drinking some when I saw the replay screen once the video ended. It was a hilarious frame - perhaps the work of Pinkie Pie? It's possible, 4th wall, after all.
For an audiophile like me, THIS IS SOOOOO AWESOME!!!! I can die happy now :).
ReplyDeleteI am content.
All I can see when I look at the picture used for this entry is Pinkie & Dash making out in the next panel of the comic it was taken from. XD
ReplyDeleteAlso, DAT still image under the replay button. Somepony please give it a caption. It needs a caption.
ReplyDeleteI may even think this sounds better acapella.
ReplyDeleteNow all I need is some way to distill this purity into liquid form and inject it into my veins.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteFull video: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=22916RLX
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteFull video, but it's getting flagged by spam checks. So it's at megaupload, at the following:
/?d=22916RLX
It's still partially blocked by a "poof" sound effect, but now I'm willing to accept it as "Ghostly" and not "Ghostie" thanks to this.
ReplyDeleteI've always suspected it was Giggle at the "Ghostly", myself; this video seems to indicate that is, indeed, the case.
ReplyDeleteits somehow weird with only audio and only lyrics. its like when you try to reassure yourself that everything is going to be okay when its not.
ReplyDeletekinda the opposite effect that the original song had on me.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteAnd twenty internets four you good sir!
@anon who delivered!
pinkies got some wicked pipes why did they even need music?
ReplyDeletei love this so much
ReplyDeleteoh god, pinkie pies singing voice. crystal clear cuteness.
ReplyDeleterev up those turntables, cause i sure am hungry for some remixes.
hahah, so that's what it would be like IRL in Equestria, because really, music just doesn't come out of nowhere. Which could mean that the music WE hear is actually just in Pinkie's head...weird.
ReplyDeleteWithout the music it makes pinkie look kind of like a freak when she burst into random song o_O
ReplyDeleteStrange but nice.
ReplyDeleteYou know this is ripe for mash-ups, right? Someone get on it.
ReplyDeleteI hope they do this with Fluttershy's Lullaby
ReplyDeleteJust for an explanation. This is PROBABLY from the iTunes video which has 5.1 Surround. It probably got messed up in the encode so that only the Center channel is heard (the music comes from the L and R speakers)
ReplyDeleteWhere is that bow pinned to...?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWould also explain pinkies voice sounding like it's echoing into the forest at the start.
I'm going to have stupid amounts of fun editing the audio to try to make it sound like she's saying new stuff. |3
ReplyDeletePut it up on rapidshare as an mp3 for all my bronies!
ReplyDeletehttp://rapidshare.com/files/452933432/No_Fear_Acapella.mp3
Since we already have the instrumental, I'd like to hear the Winter Wrap-Up acapella version. Singing ponies without instruments are surprisingly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe video should probably be titled "What everypony else hears when Pinkie Pie sings" because that pony is crazy.
ReplyDelete@Shadow Phoenix
ReplyDeleteI'll take a crack at that. Just finishing up Pinkie's Cupcake song with the same effect.
@Shadow Phoenix
ReplyDeleteAaaaand Done!
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteOops Clicked Publish before I could put the link in:

Pinkie sings here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XBk5zBNtsQ
ReplyDeleteEvening came and the sky was soon cloaked in darkness by Nightmare Moon. Like Twilight Sparkle I did not sleep, into Equestria Daily I delved deep. I fought the horrors of MediaFire, tiptoeing around pop-ups, false links and sex-for-hire, emerging victorious from the mire with mp3's, my heart's desire! To end the day, just one more clip, from the Hub (I watched the zip). Oh Pinkie Pie, such a voice! As a clip, that was choice! Oh thank you Anon brony for uploading the zip, watching this raw is really a trip!
ReplyDeleteI love how pretty much everyone came to the same conclusion here:
ReplyDelete"So THIS is what it's like when Pinkie bursts into song and she's apparently listening to imaginary background music in her head...
...That was phenomenal.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing that ep, I was like, "Pinkie has the greatest voice ever." Later when I heard the rest of them singing, I was like, "YES! They all sing!! Pony musicals!!!"
But, yeah, this must be what it would sound like if we decided to treat life as a musical, since the music won't actually swell up out of nowhere.
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteDid someone say mash-up? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcBAR1T4nWk
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteDone, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MJ1ojyhR3o
even have download link in desc.
