I seriously got 7 emails about this. It's not really my type of music, but I guess its popular! So enjoy!
*EDIT* I did some digging after uploading this since some people on gtalk told me this guy usually releases some really good stuff and..they were right, I'm hooked.
You can find his site below!
LapFox
Warning: Kinda furry I think.

meh.
ReplyDeleteSeconding previously stated "meh".
ReplyDeleteI like Renard! So scratchy! So switchy!
ReplyDeleteChrist, my ears!
ReplyDeleteThe 8bit songs were less staticy.
OUCH MY EARS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay i'll be honest, this is very well put together, but there are so many parts that literaly hurt my ears, what's up with that?
I've loved renard and vulpvibe for years now
ReplyDeleteSo, Fuck yea, this is awesome
See what I'm dealing with? It hurt my ears kinda too!
ReplyDeleteI just looked up his other mixes, they are pretty awesome. This one is just so...static.
meh indeed
ReplyDeleteits good but, the static, its just too much
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but what was that?
ReplyDelete@Sethisto
ReplyDeletePoor blog brony, the things that must cross your eyes and ears for the sake of us.
You are truly the hero that Equestria deserves.
I just recently discovered Renard and I love a lot of his stuff. This though was just... okay.
ReplyDeleteHey, I really liked this song :P
ReplyDelete@Sethisto
ReplyDeleteI seriously think he had to TRY to make it that damn static-y. >.O
I can't tell if it's bad quality source sound, or really bad quality encoding. And it's not just youtube, the downloadable mp3 sounds exactly the same. A pity too, as I liked the mix, but the low quality isn't exactly easy on the ears to want to listen to it again.
ReplyDeleteThat was god awful.
ReplyDeleteI hope we don't see anything else like this here again.
~Scratch
This is the real damage that video games has done to a generation... Seriously, if I ever hear the Mega man theme played by a major symphony I'm giving up on humanity.
ReplyDeleteI... I think the static was intentional. I like the song, but yeah, the static was s bit too much.
ReplyDeleteArpeggio.
Wait, it sounds godawful to everyone else? I thought it was just my malfunctioning headphones again! sometimes they need to be replugged in or they sound like crap...
ReplyDeleteSorry for sending a notification to you seth, I had no idea it wasn't just me!
i like some of his songs... but i just don't like this
ReplyDeletewhatisthis.jpg it would be about 20% better if you cleared up that scratching O.o bury it in bad fanfiction :I
ReplyDelete@Anonymous I, for one, look forward to the Equestria Symphony Orchestra playing songs from Mega Pony.
ReplyDeleteI seriously think the song would've been so much better if it wasn't scratchy and stuff on purpose. It just drives me crazy that anyone would find making audio quality sound bad be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteWell, ladies and gentlemen.
ReplyDeleteThis scratchy shit or fanfiction: take your pick.
haha, just kidding about the fan-fiction part; I don't think even I could write something to outsuck the static.
Ouch!
ReplyDeleteRenard does some excellent music, but this was... ow. I dunno what he was thinking.
To everyone wondering, look him up on youtube. His music is not something to miss. Just, skip this one.
It's like a bad mix up and needs to be cleaned up hardcore. Sounds like it was recorded from a tv by a cassette deck audio mic.
ReplyDeletePainful staticy techno, noise, and drone metal, all acquired tastes. I liked this one.
ReplyDeleteouch my ears indeed, to each his own i suppose
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteDid you just.. say that Mega Man games have bad music? Really? Wow..
Anyways, as others have said, my one word for this is "meh"
Already made a DJ P0N-3 out of it! With proper links back to Renard's channel, of course. Seriously, check out the rest of his songs.

BADASS SHARK BABES
ReplyDeleteThis is crap.
ReplyDeleteI liked this, but I recognize it's not for everyone.
ReplyDeleteHis alter egos Mayhem and Kitsune^2, are a little easier on the ears:

disclaimer: furry art
Without the static this I might like this, but otherwise this is just painful to listen to.
ReplyDeleteI GUESS I'LL BE IN THE MINORITY HERE
ReplyDeleteI fucking love this
like,
a LOT.
(granted, I love all kinds of dirty-as-shit dance music so whatever)
@Sandman
ReplyDeleteSandman, could you shoot me an email? My email addy should be in my profile.
Blegh. I'll have to echo everyone else. The static makes this sound AWFUL. If it didn't have that horrible static sound, I'd probably like it. But my sensitive ears can't stand the static at all.
ReplyDeleteToo noisy for me to listen it till the end.
ReplyDeletethe site has some real good music on it just this made my ears bleed, also ya its furry but much better quality.
ReplyDeleteNow, I usually appreciate unique beats and stuff in this kinda music, but this is kinda... I don't see anything thats really good in it. The static really kills it off the bat, the overall sort of... I wanna say mashup vibe it has is decent, (hells, I LOVE night of pony still) but it doesn't redeem it for me. Also, I don't fully get the naming of it, got to about the 2nd minute before I lost interest though...
ReplyDeleteOverall, the guy sounds to have potential, as this is though, I don't really like it.
At first I didn't like it but about halfway in I started to dig the static. I think he went a little overboard but it's pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThis is the kind of shit I have to put up with when five people are micspamming at once in TF2.
ReplyDelete>And believe me, that's not very pretty when you have noise-cancelling giant headphones on.
this sounds like DQN Electronics (loliripe, goreshit, xacksecks etc)
ReplyDeleteim loving it
This is about as enjoyable as listening to a wood chipper trying to eat an engine block.
ReplyDeleteLove this track, y'all got weak ears :P
ReplyDeleteI wanted to like this. I really, really wanted to like this.
ReplyDeleteUgh.
This song made my week.
ReplyDeleteI hardly even noticed it had static until I read these comments, you Bronies need Stronger ears.
And godamnit I loved renard before, but now... WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE THE LOVE
This hurts my ears.
ReplyDeleteI listened to it to the end though,it get slightly better towards the end.I don't exactly get why it's named liked that, though There's nothing about Rainbow Dash being gay in there...
i am a huge renard fan, but he has this thing for noise. he may take a perfectly good song and just amp it up to unbearablenessity.
ReplyDeleteI suggest people check out his other stuff, its alot better.
also is the furry warning really necessary here of all places?
Renard is notorious for pushing boundaries of what we think about as music on a constant basis. Sometimes this means orgasmic things you've never heard before, sometimes this means noise you can't listen to, and whether it's one or the other varies between songs and people.
ReplyDeleteNo, I can't listen to this either.
If anything, here's his song I'd say would fit Rainbow Dash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaiTweAOTx8
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteWell a large segment of the bronies here are from /b/ and /co/, where furries are a matter of contention. I don't think I'd be wrong to say the the majority of the people who read this blog do not consider themselves furries.
this one right here
ReplyDeleteBadass

instant thumbs DOWN based on title...
ReplyDeleteRAINBOW DASH IS MY WAIFU!!!
I'm a guy btw.
@Fire.Esper
ReplyDeleteCompletly agree with you on that.
As soon as Applejacks Winter Wrap Up started, this song kicked ass!
ReplyDeleteEhh, This is okay, its not exactly my thing though. It just sounds like a bunch of noise. Thats only my opinion though.
ReplyDelete@Amazigh
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean we need stronger ears? if we notice the static, doesn't that mean are ears are better at hearing than your's?
"I hope we don't see anything else like this here again."
ReplyDeleteTranslation: STOP LIKING WHAT I DON'T LIKE!
I enjoyed it. Not super amazing, but I don't regret hearing it. Static didn't really bother me but I do feel like the intensity of it detracts a bit from the entire thing.
dude i LOVE this guys stuff... i have no idea how i even missed this... EPIC WIN and thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteHe let's you download his albums for free?
ReplyDeleteWell shit, guess I'll see "what all the jazz is about."
I really liked it, but it was still too full of static, even for his songs.
ReplyDeleteStill awesome so I'm probably favoriting it.
This is popular... why? It doesnt really sound good. :(
ReplyDeleteI thought it was pretty good. Sure the static could be toned down a bit but it was probably there to cover up edits and whatnot.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one who understands "I used to wonder what that shit could be"? :D
ReplyDeleteI think people are being overly harsh here. While I admit I don't think this track really gelled and it's not one of his better remixes, there's no need to trash it like so many are doing here. Calling it crap, shit, awful...c'mon guys, a fellow bronie, from the video description, put some effort into making something for us to enjoy. I'm not saying you should lie and say you like it if you don't, or not comment, but you can at least not be mean when expressing your opinion of it, can't you?
ReplyDelete...Good lord, I think the show is having an effect on me.
@Sethisto
ReplyDeleteThat entire album is amazing in my opinion :D
@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteI'm suggesting that you need to man up and deal with the tiny amount of noise
lol furries.
ReplyDeletelol at complaining about noise while listening to HHC
ReplyDeleteneed more of this
Been a Renard fan for ages, and this is definitely a niche track.
ReplyDeleteThe huge amounts of distortion are to cover up the instrumental, and Renard is a fan of distorted audio.
And to the brony above me, this isn't HHC (not trying to start anything), it's Renard's take on a genre called raggacore.
Okay I just thought I'd mention considering how many people didn't like this that I liked it A LOT. It took me a few listens to get used to the static (and I'm still not a fan of the static), but overall I just like it and think that needs to be said with all the hate being thrown around.
ReplyDeleteBeginning was especially harsh on the ears, but in my opinion it got quite good from 1:20 on
ReplyDeleteIt's not quite my taste, but I found it to be okay. The static wasn't TOO unbearable.
ReplyDeleteBut, the description he put for the youtube video was just pure faggotry.
Renard V Is good, but this is just fail. Got some good seconds, but it's horrible quality - much static. altogether just the pony part makes it listenable...once. I think Renard V should stay at his own stuff, and leave the ponies alone for now...
ReplyDeleteTHIS SHIT IS GOLD OMG THE STATIC IS MAKING ME EARS ORGASM!! LOVE RENARD RENARD RENARD!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGraaaagh! Static!
ReplyDeleteI liked the static . . .
ReplyDeleteHATERS GONNA HATE, this is fucking awesome
ReplyDeleteI loved the static. This song is pretty awesome, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteHuh, I used to hate this, but now I love it. It just takes time to grow on you, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMy problem isn't the static. It's that the static is *only* on the MLP segments- the other parts of the mashup are pretty damn clear, so it's really jarring the moment any native MLP sound kicks in with a burst full of static.
ReplyDeleteI love it, the intentional static doesn't bother me at all :)
ReplyDeleteNot bad. I've heard far worse noise in songs than the static in this.
ReplyDeleteThe static in this song is nothing. There are FAR more noisier breakcore songs than this. Of course, if you're not into this kind of thing, it can be painful to the ears.
ReplyDeletePersonally, though, I think this song lacks the punch that other Renard songs have. I think DTRX's remix of this is much better:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-qJZFxXGKI
Glitchy, fast, bouncy, the vocals are slowed a bit, and that noise from the background isn't all that bad. 8/10
ReplyDeletebeautiful music =3
ReplyDeleteClassic!! This was the very first Brony Remix I ever liked enough to download. Its crazy, it was just 6 months ago but I get serious nostalgia thinking about my first few brony weeks. Such a great fandom.
ReplyDeleteThe music wasn't that or loud to me, and I usually can't cope well with really loud stuff.
ReplyDelete
