I thought I posted this before, but I cant find it anywhere... So have some Winter Wrap Up without the background music (or just really quiet background music), much like that Pinkie Pie one from a while back that everyone enjoyed.

Ahem.
ReplyDeleteFirst.
Ohh, this is just what I've always wanted! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMan, my mind kept filling in the blanks. I could vaguely hear the original music in the back and it's enough for my imagination to recreate it in my head, so it doesn't even sound all that different.
ReplyDeleteAs a vocal enthusiast (read: chump who wants to make a living with his voice), I find this fascinating.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting. I wonder what other songs would sound like without background music.
ReplyDeletethere's one for other songs aswell
ReplyDeletei've seen the grand galopping gala song without vocals
Stripping out the music means that people can make more awesome mashups, like that one yesterday. So this is great!
ReplyDeleteOh man I hope there's a HQ version of the audio from this floating around somewhere for download.

ReplyDeleteYou mean like flac? ahem

Does anyone know who is singing with Fluttyshy during the wake-up part?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeletewhoops >_< that's karaoke, sorry for the misunderstanding
Yay, more of these! Always fun to hear just the vocals to a song.
ReplyDeletei had this on loop saturday and i'm' still not tired of this song
ReplyDelete@Osprey
ReplyDeleteI believe that is Rarity. They are both on the same team anyway.
This sounds like the AC3 center channel, isolated. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteIf done this before with movies, the other way around (remove center channel to get instrumentals). It works great

Yes! Thank you so much for the link to a flac download. Happyness and friendship for all.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does it sound like Tara (Twilight) is having trouble hitting the low notes in "tomorrow spring is here?"
ReplyDeleteOops, I mean "let's finish our holiday cheer."
ReplyDeleteThat might be because Twilight's singing voice isn't Tara? It's Rebecca Shoichet. And I don't think it's so much that she's having trouble hitting the note, so much as it sounds a little weird because they've pitched her voice up a little.
ReplyDeleteLastly the flac posted was a karaoke version - music w/o vocals. Anyone have the vocals, no music?
^Oh. I see.
ReplyDeleteHi there ED, Original Uploader here. Glad you guys like it. For those asking for a proper MP3. Here it is. Highest Quality VBR, it's a link to my Mediafire Folder with all the MLP Audio I've done so far.

Requests and suggestions are welcome! ^_^
Sounds like most of the song, including chorus, is sung by Ashliegh Ball (Apple Jack/Rainbow Dash's voice actor). Which isn't supprising consider she has her own band.
ReplyDeleteOne of her music videos.

ReplyDeleteI prefer this music video as it's got her (and parts of her)..
....bouncing around. <.<

Interesting to listen to. It was easier to hear the different singers this way, and realize exactly how much "support" they had from the chorus during the refrain. Without the chorus (And some of the nice harmonizing they did) it sounded like a completely different song.
ReplyDelete@Stahi Mfw oficially a fish
ReplyDeleteThis stripped version of Winter Wrap Up could be useful for bronies taking part in the Winter Wrap Up collab. sing thing. As it is I've made two more corrections to the lyrics I have stored in a Wordpad file. "Wake up their sleepyheads" and "But the food we've stored is runnin' out".
ReplyDelete@ Arlen, could you post a link directly to the MP3 you uploaded to MediaFire? It could be that you need a MediaFire account to open folders as I was unable to download anything last time I tried.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
How did you get the song without the music?
ReplyDeleteAre you a wizard?
@frith
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, I didn't think you needed an account to view folders. Regardless, here you go

ReplyDeleteThe iTunes rips available via Ponychan have 5.1 sound mixes (sound coming from six sources). I use a program called eac3to to separate each sound channel into individual WAVs and I use Sound Forge to edit them into MP3s.
For the video above I use Sony Vegas and I just take the episode, disable the sound, and then put the WAV I want over it (in this case the Center Channel), and then just cut out and render the scene I want.
@Arlen
ReplyDeleteIt worked! Thanks Arlen!
