Over 6000 posts a day to be exact. I don't think /co/ has ever had this much traffic. Not even Avatar and Wakfu could come close.
And it's all about colorful ponies and friendship.... who would have thought?
This does have some negative implications though, mainly the fact that it's near impossible to keep up with this stuff now!
If I miss your fic/video/fan art/news/whatever you can still always Email it to me. Please check THIS POST first for guidelines on what to send with it to make the process cleaner though, especially if you are sending fanfiction.
For those wondering wtf this means, it's all going down on This Board which you have probably seen referenced here a million times by now. And you can use the Archiver to find what the current thread is, though post numbers have currently exceeded the poor thing's capability to keep up.
Actually on second thought it's probably a terrible idea to link that, feel free to attack me in comments if it was and I'll remove it.

ReplyDeleteI don't think there's anything wrong with you linking it, hardly anyone by this point doesn't know about 4chan and given its openness for better or for worse, they can't complain about it becoming "too active" (/co/ still has eons to go to catch up to the likes of /b/ in sheer ridiculous speed anyway).

But can pony threads last for over a week like with Jimmy Two Shoes? In till they can do that this means nothing!

recently on /co/ and /b/ there have been massive bans and 404-ing of threads containing ponies. i was there when it started. it was with out warning. just ban after ban. then 404 after 404. not a single pony was safe. nor did they cower in fear from the b& they rose up and started to fight back with love and friendship. yet the ranks were too diminished. on this day many a pony lost there threads. and many more will come back from he three day b& that was placed on them to find a war ravaged pony thread-less 4chan. all i can say is that it is a blessing that equestria daily and other sites friendly to the resistance are existing. this site like others are islands in a sea of hate. now i dont know what this will mean for posters in 4chan that want to post ponies but i know that it will never be the same.

Pony cleanse happened before on /co/, the banning on /b/ was a one time thing and as you said, most of "your kind" will be back, a lot is probably back already.
It was a one time thing, this stays 4chan, nobody matters, only haters and "/b/ronies" like YOU care about that and makes it a "resistnace" thing, if you'd simply stop that shit and enjoy ponies, we would be a much better fandom.
the reason for my two-week, cross-board ban was "endless pony threads with no actual content other than reaction images. go start your own pony imageboard."

Thanks for reposting content on here. I've tried to use 4chan before but found it difficult to locate threads and figuring out which posts people are referencing since it's referenced by post number. Much easier to just subscribe to the RSS on here.

ReplyDeleteOn the best days, the teentitans account on dA broke 6K views per day by the time they got to the third season, and now 4chan is getting that many *posts* per day. I shudder to think what will happen when they release season 2 (if it's any consolation work-load wise, the interest in a fandom appears to drop off pretty quickly after the season ends, I'd expect this to be true for a show that doesn't really advertise to its online viewers [most found this by word of mouth imho])
Moot ended up giving in to the Pokemon fandom and splitting /vp/ off from /v/. When can we expect /pn/ to split off from /co/?

ReplyDeleteyeah im sorry that you have such butt-hurt over how i was introduced to mlp in the first place. also i was never a hater. and apparently with the recent rule change and the rogue mod delt with the so called "resistance" you do daftly speak of with zero knowledge of the happenings during the mass bans that i witnessed. also it was never "my kind" in the first place. besides most of the /b/ronies were from /co/ in the first place that wanted to share the love and friendship and /b/ IS the place if you want a massive response. so please correct your trolling before ridiculing me.
